skeletonbow: They did do an epic pile of critical bug fixes in this patch and enhancements which on paper sound great though so kudos to them for that, and I hope they continue to do so far into the future as well. Hopefully a future patch will make the pedestrian AI better and bring it up to the level of GTA3 or Saints Row 2 or something at least though.
Yeah, the list of things they've fixed in this patch was staggering! I was like "shit, is it THIS much wrong with the game!? :O"
I knew of several of the bugs listed, and many I hadn't encountered. This is my second playthrough (first one as Corpo, this one as Street Kid), and there are 2 specific things I wonder whether they have fixed or not:
- The Defender Light Machine Gun - can mods now be properly added to it.
- Street Kid specific: the moment the fast travel point outside V's apartment became usable, still before the lockdown was lifted, the first fast travel point encountered, outside of El Coyote Cojo bar (mama Welles place) was also available.
And from there, every other fast travel point was also accessible. Unfortunately, Reported Assault quest objects were also present, minus the enemies, so now I cannot complete a few of them because my dumb self looted the boxes/bodies before I should. Found Skippy too, but he didn't talk like he should so I loaded a save and waited until I was supposed to be able to get him.
Still, fun to waltz into the Konpeki Plaza with Jackie, already decked out in legendaries. ^^
Another glitch I've encountered: a certain scene with Panam, where V and her are to switch seats when driving her car after taking out some Raffens. I reloaded an autosave because I missed some of what she was saying, and ended up still sitting in the driver's seat (was supposed to move over automatically) when Panam stepped in. So both V's and Panam's models were botched together, making for the weirdest case of "coming inside a woman" I've ever experienced.
As for the driving AI, yeah, I did see a video comparison of other games and Cyberpunk 2077 - hell, even some LEGO game had better AI, where it at least knew how to "drive around" and obstacle like, say, a human would be able to!
And the horn just makes no sense as it is - the AI uses it frequently, though unlike them, I can actually move. Maybe that's why it's in the game - not for the AI, but for the player...
And about the driving AI - I've stepped into the road without thinking many a time, mostly to find cover from early game enemies, and gotten run over.
Not that the AI knows emergency braking, but as my cyberware sometimes releases an EMP pulse when going low on health, being run over can trigger that and blow up the car - which the game sees as ME being the aggressor, and spawn in NCPD in addition to the enemies I was already running from.
And of course NCPD doesn't care about the other enemies opening fire against me in public...
