This weekend, the mesozoica team will be streaming nonstop on twitch. If the pledges on Kickstarter reach 30000$ by the end of the weekend, they will release the latest alpha for everyone! So I think it's the right time to pledge if you're looking after this project! ;)

Aberford: A game of zombies and 50's housewives

While I am pretty much over zombies, the setting and aesthetics of this game are really appealing. I've asked them if they will consider a DRM-free release.
Pixel Noir

Second try of this jrpg-inspired retro noir detective game.

I'm backing it for now, but there are no plans for drm-free unless enough interest is shown:
"At this moment we are only planning on Steam, but if we have a lot of interest in DRM free we will look into our options!
We will be sure to let you know which way we decide to go /before/ the end of the campaign of it's something that would make or break your want to pledge."

I'll keep backing to see how it evolves, but drm-free is a must for any crowdfunding game.

How exactly do they measure that interest? Also, do they plan a Linux release? It's annoying when they write "PC". It's ambiguous and can mean Windows only.

Not sure about jRPG, but I got some Beneath A Steel Sky feeling from the trailer. Overall it looks OK, but I'm not backing it until DRM-free Linux release is confirmed.

Some of devs release DRM-Free release on Steam.

Sorry, that won't cut it. If it's DRM-free, it doesn't need to be tied to Steam.

that's what I am saying.
I really liked EVERSPACE.
I even funded it without reading.
But when I saw they are providing DRM-Free game on steam I had to pull back my funding.

I see. That's why I usually try to confirm GOG Linux release before backing anything.

Have you looked at the FAQ on the Everspace Kickstarter page recently?
Will you also release DRM-free on GOG? How does DRM-free work with Steam?

Yep! We just cannot edit the description of the tiers that have already been pledged on - many thanks - anymore. On Steam we gonna use the client only for distribution and maintenance. Once you have downloaded EVERSPACE you don't have to run the Steam client anymore to play. You can read more about this here. About GOG, we have reached out to the guys and they really like EVERSPACE from what they can see and that the community is excited about it too. We definitely want to release EVERSPACE on GOG but the game has to be officially approved by them first. However, we don't have any doubt that we will pass their testing as we have passed even the most akward tests supporting hundreds of different devices for mobile carriers back in the days.
Hey, horror fans, the day is finally here!

Allison Road - A story-driven survival horror game inspired by Konami's ill-fated P.T. demo on PS4.

As it stands, the devs are looking to launch on Xbox One, PS4 and Steam (Windows, Mac and Linux). The Windows version will launch in December of next year. Mac and Linux will be next and then the console versions. Alas, according to the devs, a DRM-Free release is not a priority. They said it might be a possibility some time after the game's release, but that's never what you want to hear. I don't blame anyone for giving this campaign a miss because of this, but if enough people keep the pressure on, perhaps they will change their tune? It's worked in the past.

Muv Luv: A Pretty Sweet Visual Novel Series

We want to bring the most highly acclaimed Visual Novel series to the west. Help bring this epic saga to life!

This Kickstarter will focus on the localization and PC/Steam release of the first two titles in the series: Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative.

I thought they are selling 3 titles?

That said I find it interesting that when the main character dies, he reset back to the past like Edge of Tomorrow. Well he do it only once and spawn Muv-Luv Alternative, but the presentience he gain from his past life make things interesting.

Yes, it is two games making up a three part trilogy. :-)

Muv Luv (which is Muv-Luv【Extra】 and Muv-Luv【Unlimited】)
+
Muv Luv Alternative
A couple people tried to make stuff like Kickstarters ( and other sites like that ) for helping Creatures 4 / Online plus there was a couple for The Movies game ( Majority was a demand for a reboot or a remastered edition just mainly bug fixes and all ) and that Muv Luv visual novel I see around sometimes
