Now,did I lose anything in particular?

gunsynd: Yeah, they need to add something new without changing the game mechanics..

Ghorpm: I remember that I've heard somewhere that after Armored Princess only a small fraction of the original team was developing further titles. So they basically reused everything established earlier, add new quests and story line but didn't change anything significant. Warriors of the North was already terribly repetitive and changing sides only initially seemed to deliver some new stuff... I hope next KB game will finally introduce some fresh ideas
Some of these devs try to cash in on something popular and easy to replicate. And that's fair
enough, but they need new ideas to keep people coming back...
The only thing I can see them change is larger maps and freedom of choice of all maps at
startup...
This is weird....I'm watching a movie called Edge of Tomorrow, and holy crap is it reminding me of playing a video game.

The main character is effectively trying to do a perfect run through a war zone. Every time he gets killed, he gets sent back to the same point so he can try everything all over again.
Odd question, does anyone here ever have the volume on their PC just go down on it's own? :P I'm not talking about the speaker itself, that's a physical knob, I'm talking about the mixer (the little speaker symbol on the task bar). Every once it a while it will just go down to 92% or 80% for no reason. I'm wondering if there is a key I'm accidentally nudging that might cause that to happen. Shit, I hope my PC isn't haunted.

And no offense to Crow but feel free not to answer. I'm afraid I can't rely on the advice of someone who sits down and watches a Tom Cruise movie without being paid or threatened to do so. :P

All PC's are haunted, that's how they work. Didn't you know? :-)

Seriously some video players such as Media Player can do that, I've seen it but really not paid much attention.

Edit: Only Tom C movie I watch is Top Gun, I just pretend it's not him. :-)

It depends on the movie. Collateral, for example. Great movie.

I've already sat here saying to myself, "Wow, this movie's actually good so far." -laughs-

"Collateral", "Rain Man", and "Born on the 4th of July" are three of the greatest movies ever, and they are also at least 20 YEARS OLD!!!! XD Evidently he decided one day he no longer needed to read the scripts and started letting the ghost of L. Ron Hubbard pick his movies for him.

Thing about "Tomorrow" is that his costar vowed she'd never appear in a Cruise movie because they are so bad and do so terrible at the box office. Shortly after "Tomorrow" came out she fully admitted she should have kept her promise on that one. :P

Okay, so I'm old. Or older movies tend to be better than newer ones. (Definitely willing to say that for the most part.)

I'm not surprised at the costar's response. It takes a lot to hit kiss of death crazy levels, but Tom Cruise has done so.
He's known as a lunatic who did good movies once upon a time. Kinda like Mel Gibson.

And now, 50 minutes in, I feel silly for saying the movie is good, because the reason why the character keeps going back in time is profoundly stupid.

You're right Edge of Tomorrow sounds like Rogue Legacy. :-)
Go back, try again. Go back, try again. Go back, try again.

Except Rogue Legacy is quiet fun ;)

If you're curious, that film is based on a Japanese novel called "All You Need is Kill" by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The novel was translated into English and twice published by Viz Media, once with the original title and then under the film's name, "Edge of Tomorrow". In addition, the story was also adapted into a Japanese comic book. Viz Media released an English-translated version of the under the story's original name. Lastly, an American made (yet Japanese inspired) [url=http://www.amazon.com/All-Need-Kill-Graphic-Novel/dp/142156081X/]graphic novel was also released by Viz under the story's original title.

I think I'll go with the novel, since the movie's putting me to sleep.

Thank you for the information. =)
My pleasure. Always fun when I can put my ridiculous Japanese pop-culture knowledge to good use. :P
Good evening, everyone!

How are you all doing tonight?

adaliabooks: And I'm firmly in the romantic camp, left school and ran away to another country to be with my girlfriend just over 8 years ago and haven't looked back since :)
Another big romantic. :-)

But you are brave going against the Catholic Italian/Irish Mafia. I'm sure even now they are hunting for you. I hope your partner is at least Catholic, that might buy you some sympathy from the mob. :-)

If you don't mind me asking, is your partner Scottish?

Also, good evening, adaliabooks! I hope you are doing well and that you have had a good day?

adaliabooks: And although it's Christian rather than Catholic here in the UK all the shops close early on a Sunday, because for some reason life is just supposed to stop on a Sunday and we're all supposed to spend the day in church or something....
Psst. Catholics are Christians, did you mean Protestants? The shop thing is also to give local traders an increase in sales, which is why only the bigger stores are forced to open short hours and shut earlier on Sundays. It's not the most logical way to help the smaller traders, but it was hard enough getting the larger supermarkets to agree to shorter hours. Smaller business also use Sunday as their day off as it's more convenient as less people are shopping on a Sunday. :-)

EndreWhiteMane: It just reached 1 degree ABOVE zero (F), I'm off to the beach!
Don't forget your mankini! :-)

Are you doing well today, Endre? Has the day and those nurses been treating you favourably? :-)
Have I posted this pic yet? :P
