Good Thursday, lovely lambs of Fred!
I hope you are all having a lovely start to this sunny day?
*hugs, waves, and breakfast*
EndreWhiteMane: A game collection is more interesting and less expensive than a stamp collection.
And if you get bored looking at them you can always try playing one.
From "Words of Wisdom by Endre".
But there are strange people who will buy your stamps for a lot of money, so stamp collecting is a lot more profitable. But granted, they are not as enjoyable to own as games are. How about collecting games about stamp collecting? :-)
Ixamyakxim: Doesn't bother me. In fact I think I... kind of like it. Minimalist but in a clean sort of way that doesn't distract or detract from the game - I actually hadn't even totally noticed until you mentioned it (it reminded me a little bit of Massive Chalice the first time I looked at the screens).
And I'm someone that's usually a bit sensitive to art direction that I feel is overly pretentious or novel for novelty's sake. This one works for me though!
You never noticed they did not have faces? Remind me to not have you stand guard when the aliens invade and try to mimic us, they will be inside our base in no time, despite the fact they don't have faces. :-)
I am glad you like the art style of this game. Let's hope it turns out to be a good game and one that you will enjoy.
CarrionCrow: I'd say it's a combination, based on my own experience. I've done all those things. Some games I hold in high regard, some were tag-alongs I got to receive better bundle prices and others I got on impulse because they were really cheap and I got tired of seeing them pop up as sales got repeated.
Now that you mention it I forgot about those bundle games. I know there are a few games on my shelf that I only own due to it being cheaper to get the whole bundle during a sale rather than the one or two games that I wanted. For some reason I kept buying them to start with rather than getting them as a gift code. But since then I just redeem the ones I want and gift the left over ones. I wonder if there are people that own the majority of Steam games? I would hope not, that is a lot of crap games to own. :-)
