It'll be fine - as i mentioned earlier, the things i'm currently doing are preparations for upcoming classes :)

So do we think there will be a new release today, maybe a classic one for Agent?

You say that, but now that Owl adopted you you have to eat all those garlic snails before she comes home or you will be in so much trouble. Then you have your slimy frogs legs for later. :-)

Certainly hope so.:)

Not sure about that. Just learned that our snails tend to eat rain worms O_O

Yeah, but probably not a classic. More indie stuff :-p
Random question: What would you say are the top 5 games from the list of games not available to the Germanians?

I have not played too many of them (I own a few, but I have only played about half a dozen of them so far), so for me it would be (in no real order):
1,2. Commandos 1 & 2
3. Medal of Honour: Allied Assault War Chest (not as good perhaps as the WW2 CoD games, but still nice, I especially liked the Africa missions as it was something different)
4. Red Faction
5. POSTAL 2

But I was wondering what the rest of you would say are the top 5 must own games?

List of removed games (thank you IAmSinistar for composting the list):
Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000
Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold

Hmmm, I get the feeling you really like Mortal kombat, or you just hate all the other games. :-)

*big thank you hug with an extra hug to help you with your work*

1 - Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - My second favourite WW2 game :-)
2 - Return to Castle Wolfenstein - My 5th favourite WW2 game :-p
3 - Blood - The only really old "2.5D" shooter that I really like.
4 - Red Faction - Not much to say, it's just a nice shooter.
5 - Bloodrayne - I haven't actually played it yet. It's in my backlog. But it looks cool, and I hope I like it :-D

That is a nice list, even if I have only played two of them. I own 4, but I have not played them yet. I remember playing the tutorial for Bloodrayne, and they do seem to like their silly boob physics from what I remember. I played a little of Blood as well, but I have to be in the mood for some older games, and I was just not feeling up to playing it.

Why didn't anyone tell me about the boob physics? :-O *runs*
:-)
I usually don't like those old shooters. I guess I am getting snobby at my old age :-p They mostly look awful, and are really hard to control. For some reason though, Blood just clicked with me. It must be Monolith's magic touch :-)

The only genre that I like the really old games from is Adventure. For most other genres, I can't handle anything made 20+ years ago.

From what I remember they are very silly boob physics. I don't know if the main character has it, or just the NPS during the tutorial.

I think we are just use to more modern mechanics. Nostalgia can often help us look past limitations of older games, hence why we can play some old games just fine, but others put us off.

Adventure games are an easy format I would think, especially the 2D ones. There have not really been any big jumps in the style for a long time.

Are boob physics ever not silly? :-p

Do you think in 20 years from now, we'll look back and say, "Those games from the 2010s are awful! How did anyone play those?" as we are hooked up to our virtual reality IV devices? :-)

True, adventure hasn't really changed much. The biggest difference is that some are 3D now, which isn't really a change for the better. To me, the clash between 2D backgrounds and 3D characters is just ugly-as-pluck >__<

I don't know, I have not played many with boob physics. I remember the Resident Evil remake on the GameCube had them back in the early 2000s, while it was not overly silly, it was a little out of place.

Probably, and given how standards are dropping they might say the games are too hard these days as well, and that they lack DNA linked DRM and micro-transactiosn like their modern games have. :-)

Some of them at are 3D but on a 2D field can still be nice, and some fully 3D ones can be good too, but I think 2D is where the genre is at its strongest.

Do you think we will get a new release today?

Good points ;-)

I usually prefer adventures to be fully 2D or fully 3D. The hybrid of 3D characters in a 2D world just throws me off. I guess it is an immersion thing. It looks like I'm staring at a completely dead and lifeless painting, with a magically (and often awkwardly) animated 3D character walking through it. It feels too unnatural to me. Like I'm wandering in a dead world all alone. Maybe I am alone, with my opinion at least :-) *shrug*

I think we'll get something, yeah... I kinda doubt it will be a classic, but who knows. I'll put my money on an indie game that came out 22 months ago :-)

True, or we will get some scraps and made to think it is a golden moment.
