So...one of the workers that started at the same time as me has been fired, while another two are on the verge of joblessness, while I'm (according to one of my managers) one of the best employees they have (evidenced by another department trying to recruit me, and multiple customers a week seeking out management to praise me). So that's nice. What's not nice is that they're about to shove a whole lot more hours down my throat, whether I can handle them or not haha. I'm already full time but apparently I'll be working over 40 a week, at least for a few weeks until they can hire/train new employees.

In other news, I tried one of those Jolly Rancher sodas today and it was...an interesting experience at first but let's just say that I was glad when I finished it. I don't recommend it, at least not the "Green Apple" one.

Oh and The Grandfather, the game codeveloped by GOG forum's own Jefequeso (of The Moon Sliver/The Music Machine/A Wolf In Autumn fame) and the guy that made "The Lady" has been released. Unfortunately even over on Itch.io it's a Steam key only sorta deal, but it was published by an actual publisher (Plug In Digital) so I doubt either got a say in it.

I just got accepted to study in a school - and my company pays the studies.
it will be a hard year starting next fall, but I'll get a raise if I succeed... and with the paper can apply for jobs in a wider range, if I so wish.

Glad to hear you are doing well in the job world. If they push you too much, you could let the boss know you are also wanted elsewhere... No blackmailing, but you know, a friendly remainder that there might be friendlier waters out there and you might be getting tempted if you are pushed too far and too often :P
But I don't know your situation well, and take my advice with a grain of salt :)

Anyhow, hope things work out for you alright. And you're young, it's good to try your limits, if you're healthy :)

It was actually from a game, although in it, more elaborate and a bit longer.
Took me quite a while actually to guess it :)

Took me darn near half an hour before I knew it was here. Nobody around here tells me when important stuff like this is going on.

I immediately suspected it was death after hearing "it comes to everyone". The fact that it "eats everything" confirmed it.

Also, what's with the new avatar? Are you closing down the soup shop?
