I can understand them being entertaining, even for fans of the series. You just have to take it the same way you would the Street Fighter movie, just silly fun loosely based on the game. They do feel more like big budget b-movies over Hollywood films. I have seen much worse been praised more, so I guess it all comes down to taste.

Screw the transformers movies though. :P

I have never seen them. I don't tend to watch many movies, and those definitely did not appeal to me.

I came to watch giant robots smashing each others.

I got some kid with a stoner mum going to college.
A robot that turns into a girl because obligatory sex(y) scene.
And 2 small robotic versions of a stereotype.
