omega64: He will be missed. :l
I really should look for some other films he's acted in sometime.
There is always Adams Family. :-)

Never really watched any of that. Does it hold up?

akhliber: Hello, all! I hope you have a lovely day today!
*big hugs and waves all around*

ddickinson: *big good morning hug*

My day is going good so far. How are you today?
Hello! I'm doing pretty well this morning. Having a little trouble waking up, but in great spirits and ready to make some coffee and get the day started. Nothing planned today but a few phone calls, some cleaning, some reading and some play with the pup. How about yourself?

CarrionCrow: Will add my praise of Raul Julia to the pile. He makes that movie watchable.

Also, watching Paper Sorcerer on stream. I really need to start playing that.
The movie was okay, but more of a silly B-movie than a full Hollywood movie. I think if you take it for some silly fun, then it is watchable. And there are a few people (Like Raul Julia) who have some memorable scenes.

You pretty much have to look at it that way. It certainly isn't anything resembling the actual series.

I am not really sure, it has been a long time since I saw them. I remember the first one being not so bad if you take it for what it is, but the sequel was not that great from what I remember. But as I said, it has been years, so I could not say how it holds up.

I don't even play the games and barely know anything about them.
Tried 4 but can't be bothered to try learning it without a tutorial. At least MK9 was easy to pick up and play.

That is good, nothing planned and Insomnia sale on the way. :-)

I am glad you are doing well. Hopefully you can enjoy some reading and fun time with Sarge.

I am good for the most part, a few things getting worse as the day goes on, but nothing to complain about.

Do many of the game to movie adaptations? Silent Hill 1 was good (I hear the second one is too mainstream and horrible), but look at the Resident Evil movies, they don't even make sense. They feel like a 10 hour movie cut up with no thought as to how everything fits together. It seems game adaptations are not Hollywoods strongpoint.

Oh, and a reminder to any who may want to enter, my giveaway will be open about another week. Hopefully there will be a good sale still going on when it ends. :)

CarrionCrow: Sorry if I sound mean, but better you than me on that one. I'd get very annoyed, very fast.
The vacation time is a good balance to that, though.
I can't stand it either, but I'm practically alone in that respect.
When I was a kid, I thought that being a nazareno was a punishment. Only later did I find out that people wanted to take part in the processsion.

He chews the scenery so thoroughly in every single scene he is. That there's nothing left for the other actors.
And it's awesome!

Not really, no. Resident Evil was chopped to shit, thrown in a blender, then reassembled while drunk and stoned.

Funnily enough, the one movie I've seen mention of that looks like a real game isn't based on a game at all.
It's called Hardcore Henry, and it looks like an insane FPS brought to life.

So it was not just me that thought that. I watched them with my brothers and it just never made sense. Like how she survived that plane crash despite the fact she had been turned human just prior. There is so much that makes no sense, as though there was supposed to be a scene explaining things, but they just cut it. I hear they do really well in Europe at the cinema, but I don't get how. I guess if you take them for some silly fun and not a Resident Evil movie.

I have never heard of that movie. I did see the Doom movie, which had a brief FPS scene. I thought that was an okay movie, just not really Doom. More of an action/sci-fi movie using the Doom name.

My dad loves watching them, he's not even familiair with the Resident Evil games.
They're pretty fun to watch if you ignore that a plot should normally make sense.

I always knew church-related activities were a bad thing...

Yes, he absolutely does, and yes it totally is. =)
