Think the game of the month is going to be Stardew Valley, it would be Oxenfree but it's not here yet.
If it's not here by next month I'll buy it elsewhere because it looks intensely cool. :-)

Edit: I should also add that Stardew appears to be very small and well optimized, that impresses me.

Good time of day everybody!

Finally had a few minutes (literally just a few) to try Downfall's remake. The intro is completely new, so it isn't a straight remake, which is cool. The graphics in the intro level are better than those in the demo, so that's (obviously) a good thing. The intro level also has a very small wink to The Cat Lady's intro, I thought that was neat. So far my only complaint is that the voice acting IS just THAT bad...eek. Fortunately it doesn't really make the game feel worse.

Oh, I see Caribbean! Blood and Gold is on sale. It'd definitely jump right into the list of games I'm playing (heck, Warband has yet to really leave that list and Caribbean is just a pirate themed Warband) and I have a few bucks saved but it's another week and a few days until my first payday...but I don't have any upcoming expenses. To buy or not to buy, that is the question

Anyway apologies for any weird formatting, still stuck (mostly) on my phone for now. I hope life is treating you all well!

Good evening. =)

Just started playing the original Downfall, it's primitive looking but still interesting. Looking forward to doing the Redux version after I've cleared that and Cat Lady.

If it's something you think you'll get a lot of playtime out of, it might be worth it to grab.

No need to apologize, just glad you're doing better. =)
Using windows 10 and i somehow managed to set it up so it's not freezing randomly anymore.5 days of use without freezing is nice.I still haven't tried adobe flash game if it also restarts, pc freezes or something like that.
Otherwise mostly playing saints row 2 and i wonder if my keyboard needs any extra drivers or it's just the game when quickly taping 1 or 2 for fight club doesn't fill the bar fast enough as i am pressing or driving sometimes i feel like the controls aren't fully responsive like it would stop giving gas or suddenly the steering left or right stops for a second.Didn't notice anything yet in other games though, but i think i haven't tried enough in other games.
Are there any settings in windows that i could change something like keys being more responsive if i fast tap them?
Oh it's also nice to see that gog fixed the The Ronin Mission at the airport (Orange Threat Level) no crashes after the middle cutscene plays in gog. Also keyboard is not usb but ps2 connectiont or the violet plug in the back

The original Downfall was great in my opinion, I hope you enjoy it!

I might just grab Caribbean!...

What else have you been playing?

Fonzer: Words...
You can try installing the Saints Row 2 Powertools and Gentlemen of the Row mods, both by IdolNinja. They should fix any unintended Saints Row 2 weirdness.

Let's see...

Right now, it's a combination of Calendula, Electronic Super Joy, Bit Trip Runner, Front Mission Evolved and Typing of the Dead Overkill. Trying to wipe out my open games before starting too many more new ones.

Well i haven't tried that yet, want to beat the game in it's normal gog form. And then see if the mod works.
The game is playable has no speedup bug probably because of windows version, turned off dynamic lighting and hdr what ever that is and i can at least play the game properly.
Though i wonder with my system if the mod would help since it's this:
amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 4400+ 2.30ghz
4gb ram (don't know what kind of ram)
nvidia 9600 gt
Don't need a really high resolution in the game at least the 1024x768 one or what my current setting is in the game.
Edit: also turned off frame limiter for saints row 2 in nvidia inspector

CarrionCrow: Sunlight is vastly overrated...;)

I'm sure it is. Having to unplug things here is a royal pain, and this place doesn't get the massive lightning you've mentioned.

Actually, I skipped it all for the time being. Put on True Detective instead, have been watching that. I'm up to my eyes in games, and they'll all keep until I feel like playing them.
Good morning/evening Crow - couldn't agree more about the sunlight, but then I've always lived in sunny places. I guess if I'd grown up in a cold rainy place, I'd spend my days longing for sunshine...

Hope you enjoyed your game-free day or was it evening? I have Foxclocks addon for Firefox to tell me what time it is where other people are, but I can't remember what time zone you're in. I think it's Pacific? But then you do seem to keep unconvential hours anyway, so I get confused. ;-)

It's 6am here, quiet except for the hadedas shrieking occasionally. No more rain yesterday, but it threatened to rain all day. Great big clouds everywhere, and a cool breeze. I love this kind of weather. :-)

ZenWan: Hi souper, hope you have recovered. Here's another jazz lady to help you feel better.

superstande: Good Morning, Rain Seasonal Sort Of Place!
Thank you for the recipe! Wonderful! I have to save this stuff.
Cooking has been encouraged by many people for me. And I'm starting to dig it :)

I'm feeling better, slept quite long. I needed that. It's silly when you don't always know when you've slept enough. I've made the mistake many times of getting up right away after just 5 hours of sleep... When I could've just done another 5 and felt really good all day.

Hope you find a way to live amongst all those changing natural phenomena!
Hi again, souper, hope you're getting your full quota of sleep right now. I'm one of those who just wakes up very early and that's it. If I try to go back to sleep, I end up feeling half-awake and grumpy all day. I don't enjoy sleeping much, I often have bad dreams, and I find it hard to get to sleep at all.

Glad you liked the soup recipe. I was thinking that it was rather ironic that I posted a very southern European recipe for a northerner, when you would not normally make soup with olive oil and hot-climate herbs. I am sure that you use dill a lot, and the kind of herbs that don't turn up in the hot south. I'd love to hear how you make your veggie soup, I am very fond of veggie soup. The nights are growing cool here now and a good soup is just what I need. :-)

Once the winter comes, the rain disappears. The winters here are very dry, so we need all the rain we can get before that happens.

Did you enjoy your music? I'll try to post some more jazz, can't get by without a jazz fix every day.

Good morning. =)

Used to live somewhere sunny. Eventually lived somewhere with bad weather, but it was all snow. Made it that much worse. I'll take rain over all of it.

It was last evening. Just said to hell with everything, watched a show instead.
I'm in the Pacific time zone, so it's about 8:30 p.m. at the moment.

That sounds very pleasant. (Even the birds part since they look cute. -laughs-) How are you doing today?

Hi Crow, I have never lived in snowy climes, except for a few months in Canada, but I missed most of the winter. I always love snow because it's exotic for me, but I'm sure that living in it wouldn't be as much fun as it looks. I do love rain also, rain and misty weather and forests...

I thought it was Pacific - that puts you 14 hours ahead of me, it's practically a lifetime. ;-)

The birds are mostly very peaceful, and right now the ground is soft after all the rain, so they're finding lots to eat, which keeps them quiet. Mind you, with those huge curved beaks they could probably chip rocks if they wanted to. I wouldn't want to tangle with one of them.

Have a great evening, and enjoy your gaming.

Sorry for the long delay in answering, couldn't get this to post, the wheel just kept on spinning round and round.

I'm out of free online time, so I'll say goodbye to you and anyone who's around - see you in my tomorrow.

:-)

Snow is something that loses its novelty very quickly. It's definitely something to enjoy in small doses.

-laughs- It's not that bad. Stupid time zones, though. Dislike those in general.

They look like fun. I'd keep them around people's bedroom windows, just to hear them scream (both the birds and the people).

Thank you, have a good, peaceful day out there. =)

Hello!
Better sleep as you see best, we wouldn't want to see/hear your grumpiness here all the time :P ..Just kidding...
No, actually I am open to all kinds of food. Did some travelling in Asia when I didn't have huge chunks of money but wanted to visit many places... Ended up eating local food a lot. Western food in general is more expensive, at least in some countries. But you are right, Finns use a lot of dill, especially in fish foods.

Yeah, I loved the music. Quite relaxing, thank you! ... I used to have really bad mornings some years ago... And some Coltrane while having my morning coffee would change the mood just totally. Jazz is awesome :)

NoNewTaleToTell: Good time of day everybody!
Hello! Sounds like things are heading for better, and a payday. So happy to hear that! :)
Life is busy but it's mostly about choosing what not to do and trying to do that bit at some point later :) And I am playing lots of fun games so no complaints here.
Enjoy your weekend!

Haha... it was a fun movie, although I fell asleep halfway last night :)
I wanted to check out Vimeo and that one was quite cheap for downloading...
