Good evening and happy weekend, everyone. *big whatevers all around*

(I have absolutely nothing interesting to say. But it's a free-for-all, so screw it :-p)

ElTerprise: A what?
Irradiated haggis.

I have 4,691 of them sitting around, might as well put them to some kind of use.

Sorry to hear that but i'm glad that it's at least slightly better :)
I'm quite good actually - certainly helps that i was able to get a ticket for the concert of Bruce Springsteen in Berlin in June :)

-laughs- It's from Red Dwarf. Old favorite show of mine.
Good evening, lovely people of Fred!

I seem to be having a little trouble slowing my mind down so I figured I would come and bother you all for a while. :-)

I was just thinking of Red Dwarf when I was reading your earlier post. A very nice show, especially the earlier series.

Actually haven't seen that show yet. Might be due to the fact that it was apparently never shown in Germany.
Guess i'll get some DVDs (e.g. import from UK) of it because i heard good things about it :)

I could give you a puzzle. Locks up heads real fast.

I know that some areas got an edited version of the earlier seasons, which were terrible. They ended up cancelling the project and went back to showing the original versions. They are quite nice, given their age. Just a nice BBC comedy set in space following the last human alive, a hologram, a cyborg, and a cat that has evolved into a humanoid.

Do you get them on Netflix in Germany?

Thank you for the offer, but I will pass, a puzzle is not really something that would help.

Good evening. =)

No worries, I can bore you to sleep in no time. ;)

Yes, I like it quite a bit.
Some people go for Star Trek. I go for a show where the last person in existence is a screw-up who only manages to avoid annihilation by being insubordinate.

It's a good one. Definitely on my list of stuff to put up from Amazon in the near future.

Good evening!

I am sure I will be feeling sleepy in no time, but not because you are boring. I get like this sometimes, a lot of things going on and it tends to keep me awake, plus I keep getting nose bleeds which is why I decided to get up for a while so as to not wake up my partner.

That is why I like it as well, although I was not so keen on the later series, but they were still good. The reboot was not so good, series 8 and onwards. Sadly a case of them flogging a dead horse. Then burying it, letting it rot, digging it back up and flogging it again. :-)

I know it has/had quite a following in the US, which is why US themed episodes started to appear more.

How are you today, I hope your day is going well so far?

P.S. Do you get the original episodes of Red Dwarf in the US, the ones with the models rather than the CGI space ships?

Good evening DD *big hug*
I'll check it but i doubt it. Looks like there is no German-dubbed version of it which would make it rather pointless to have it on Netflix given the fact that still most people in Germany watch foreign shows/movies in a dubbed version.

I already checked in my local library which has quite a selection of DVDs of british shows - but they don't have it :/

That's why i think of importing some DVDs of the UK or get them when i'm either in UK or Ireland.

The problem with many british shows is actually that we only get edited versions here....
