LaPtiteBete: Ho jeez... I've found an abandonned newborn baby cat... thought he was dead (I almost stepped on it)... but he's not... yet... My colleagues went to buy some special milk... and we are trying to keep this tiny thing alive... ,o__o, .......

Lovely giveaway there by crewdroog.. hm kept reading it crewdoog until now... sorry... not that no one knew :)

Anyhow. Lovely there's a kitten in the Owl Family ;p
All the best for the little thing! oh yeah, if the kitten doesn't look too well, maybe a professional opinion would be useful from a vet or a doctor.

So tired so I'll just disintegrate here and all that... mhm...
Also nice to see Stilton is back! :)

akhliber: Aww, that's basically how we ended up with Sarge, though it was my niece who actually found him... try all you want not to get attached, but don't be surprised if you wind up with a new little one under your wing! ;)
Glad you found him, and that he's being cared for when he needed it the most, whatever the outcome. Fingers crossed that he pulls through and gets stronger, healthier :)

He was born only a few hours ago... his mom never came back to pick him up... he was alone... covered in flies... >__o ... steady and cold... I sincerely thought he was dead... :'-(

Hearing that makes me utterly sad. I guess most people would've thought that (me included).

If he lives (I assume it's a "he"), either
1) I'll keep him (but I'm only 57% sure my partner will be ok... I know he loves cats and want one since we lostt ours, but... I don't know ?... I'll ask him... (if he lives !!)
2) my colleague will keep him (but her husband is not ok... they also lost their cat recently and he's still too sad)
3) we'll keep him at the office (he'll become our mascot)... (but we'd have to convince our boss, who is more a "dog" person)...
Anyway, we'll find him a home ):-|

EDIT: or even animal rescue? We have an animal ambulance service around here, if you have something similar that might be an option if things start to go south.
My colleagues went to the vet to buy special milk, which he seems to take (?) ...
They said to come back in a week (if he lives !!) for the treatment (against worms fleas etc)...
We tried to call animal rescue associations but they are all overwhelmed and wouldn't take him if he can't eat on his own...

You're doing the right things - getting the right advice and doing your best to care for the little chap. If he's taking the milk that's a good sign. Hang in there, you're doing good ;-)

Well, I think you're doing the right thing, the alternative would have been to leave him to die ... If your partner is really not okay with it you can always look for a new home after the immediate danger has passed, surely he'll understand that? :)

Thanks a lot for your advice and support, everyone :))Of course he'll understand... I think. It's not as if he was annoying, plus... he doesn't make much noise (just some cute dinosaur-like sounds)... he stays in his cardbox... we'll see... one thing at the time... :)
