Morrowind is great. And in my opinion the best of the TES games. But I may be infected by nostalgics ;-)

Actually I also think MW is the best in terms of writing and world-building. Though I miss the lively schedules (RadiantAI) of the later games (where you can even watch someone cheating on their spouse (getting up, dressing, and sneaking out of the house and lying in bed with another until early morning).

I played it for the first time about 4 years ago, and really loved it. More than the successors. So it can't be all nostalgia :-)

some of it is. i played it after oblivion and I just got frustrated with the UI, not running, the journal and stuff. however, I do think it was better immersion wise. plus the quests and story were cool.

Actually I liked the (patched) journal that created an index for every topic you ever talked about. Wish more games had this. The UI can be very fiddly, esp. with MGE and high resolutions. The icons are tiny then.

Yeah. I also think they are kind of.. a bit pricey. I guess I'll pass all the classic games.. and just wait for their more modern games to be released here.
