EndreWhiteMane: Someone mentioned Titan Quest recently, is the game as good as it looks?
I love the story and setting.
avatar
CarrionCrow: Played through it once, and it was very slow gameplay-wise. If you're looking for a hack and slash that doesn't have breakneck speed, that might be the one for you.
Beyond that, not even sure if Titan Quest and its expansion are sold separately anymore, but you want that expansion. From what I've read it improves the game quite a bit, cutting down on tedious inventory management and adding extra content onto the game. Shame I burned out after beating the main game without it.
Thanks, sounds like I might like that. I'll check on the expansion.

Edit: Immortal Throne is still sold separately, not bad in a bundle though.

Have a good night, feel better and good luck with the stuff tomorrow. =)

Not a problem. If you get it, you'll probably enjoy the level of customization the game allows. That's one of its high points to me.

cecil: anyone know why the weekend promo is a day early?

GreenDamsel: Nothing there for me :(
me either really...
Hi people, top of the time of day to ya!

Anybody here have experience with a game called CDF Ghostship? Or Ghostship Aftermath? They're both open world (or open ship) FPS games with with rogue-like elements (namely randomness and permadeath), complete with storylines that are different in some way or another each time you start a new game. That sounds amazing to me, but they're both saddled with "mixed" reviews on Steam.

Part of the mixed reviews is due to Jim Sterling blasting a alpha version of one of the games and once he's trashed one of your games you have to deal with his fanboys going out of their way to mess with you and your ratings on Steam. Considering that he reviewed an alpha version of the game, and he already goes out of his way to find faults in games, I can't say that I care about his view(s) on either of these games.

The dev is still very active on the forums and has kept up support for both of the games, even releasing free DLC, so that's a point in their favor.

I'm considering taking a blind jump but I'd rather not, as Steam's refund policy only hands you your money back halfway by way of sticking it into your Steam wallet rather than your actual wallet, correct me if I'm wrong.

Good evening. =)

Haven't heard of those titles, but if you get a good feeling and have the coin to spare, go for it.
Also, pretty bullshit to shred an alpha game, I think.

Might be good... Sorry haven't heard of them. Did you try youtube with the game name + gameplay or something... or + review?
Yeah Alphas tend to be not-so-ready-for-a-review :D

Anyhow. Today my mother is coming for a visit. Possibly the whole weekend... That's all nice really. But I'm open to suggestions to where I could take my laptop to play games occcasionally :) Maybe a quiet coffee shop...

Just as a side note... we are talking bohemian sort of jolliness here... lots of eating and drinking... so I can't just be in the middle of it if I want to concentrate on Dragonfall ...

Otherwise all who are still awake, Howdy People!!

Good morning. =)

A coffee shop sounds good so long as they aren't militant about you buying something every fifteen minutes you sit there. Aside from that, a library comes to mind for a quiet place you won't be disturbed.

Don't worry, you've still got time. Dragonfall isn't so long that it'll take two weeks to complete, so it should be out of your hair by the time Hong Kong gets here.

Howdy Crow!
Still up or already up or something completely different? :)

A library! Thanks! - didn't think of that. Sounds perfect! Gonna check out how they are open.
Concerning Shadowrun games - I told someone that if I go on completing the trilogy, I will be in need of 10 years of psychotherapy :p ...ok not really but they are a bit dark... although it is most of the time rather interesting.
Good morning folks *big hugs and waves*

Hope you're all doing fine.
Time for some coffee. Nothing like caffeine overdose in the morning.
*waves sleepily*

Hi folks! I hope all are doing well, or sleeping well, at least. :)

Having some morning coffee and trying to get my mental bearings before trying to tackle my radroach problem (I suck at shooters, but have been enjoying some Borderlands 2 with a friend lately, and reading Wool as well, and this got me thinking, I need to finally play Fallout 3! So I got it installed and modded to look all purdy, but there are some invisible radroaches early in the game, and I'm not quite sure which mod is causing it yet.)
I'm hoping I can explore the wastelands as an immersive escape without my suckiness at fps games getting in the way. :)
I had better call it a morning. Hope you all had a lovely evening.

*serves coffee*

See what I did there? :D

This thread is kind of slow today, isn't it? :)
