That is nice, I hope you have a lot of fun playing Terraria with the other regulars.

I enjoy Cowboy Bebop, I prefer the more adult anime. not that is does not have it's silly points, but at least it's not just underage schoolgirls dressed like sluts. The main characters are adults and so are the storylines. I am not keen on the kid orientated anime these days. What is FLCL?

Made by the same people of Evangelion. Has the same level of mind fuckery but it's more of a comedy and it has one hell of a soundtrack

ddickinson: Hello there, lovely people of the thread!

How are you all doing today? I hope you are all doing wonderful?

I have had one of the best weekends ever. I found out what my partners sneaky planning was all about, and what she was secretly writing, and it has made me so happy that I have been grinning like a cheshire cat.

I will leave this little quote from Charlotte Bronte as a little clue about what the lovely surprise was. :-)

“My love has placed her gentle hand
With noble faith in mine,
And vowed that wedlock's sacred band
Our nature shall entwine.

My love has sworn, with sealing kiss,
With me to live -- to die;
I have at last my nameless bliss:
As I love -- loved am I!”
~ Charlotte Bronte.

*lots of extra special happy hugs*
Wow, congrats! What an awesome surprise!

The original Evangelion was one of my favourite anime when I was younger. I saw some clips of the remake stuff and I don't like the look and feel of that. They should have just left it alone and not tried to milk the franchise for more cash. And despite them having child characters, it was not childish plot. I got so tired of the anime set in schools with coming of age stuff and things like that. That is why I stopped watching, due to the plots getting more childish, and more perverted, especially the ones including underage children dressed like sluts, or those horrible giant fake boobs everyone started to get. I preferred the older anime before it became childish teenage boy fodder.

Thank you. it was indeed, I had no idea. But it has made me so happy and has put a giant smile on my face.

How are you? I have not been online much this last week so I have missed out on how people have been doing.

I'm doing pretty well! My lady and I have our 13 year anniversary in a couple weeks, and we're going on a real vacation. This will be the first time I've attempted a road trip / travel since I fell ill a bit over six years ago, so I'm quite excited. We've rented a cabin in the mountains and are planning some (very light) hiking, some time our with our cameras, a scenic train ride, and a whole lot of relaxing and forgetting about the stresses of daily life. :)

Sarge had me up pretty early this morning, so I've been trying to put together a list of things to remember to bring with us. Oh, and occasionally dozing off in my chair. :)

I don't tend to watch much TV or movies anymore. I prefer to read over TV and movies. I do enjoy some Studio Ghibli, but that is due to them not being too childish. I am too tired of all the crap to really give anime another try. So much of it is horrible. Others might enjoy it, which is great for them, but it's just not for me anymore. I want my serious adult anime back, not all the childish comical stuff that has flooded the market.
Good day everyone, hope you're all doing passably well and better if possible.

I'm considering making bacon for the first time in years, I'm not quite sure I can do that without burning my home down, but that's part of the fun yeah?

Parasyte is as adult as you can get and JoJo and Gintama are great ways to make you watch anime again.

Your anniversary plans sound very nice. I hope you will have a lovely time in the cabin being able to just enjoy your time together. It sounds like something me and my partner would enjoy as well, we love being out in nature and having lots of time together.

Sow is your little guy doing? Is his training progressing well? Do you have much left to sort for your anniversary trip?

l0rdtr3k: *gives Agent-kun a big hug*
Not sure what that "kun" means (is it good or bad? :-p) but I'll take the hug *big return hug*

Can you burn your house down cooking bacon? :-)

Maybe, but as I said, I don't really watch much tv anymore, and I had more than enough of the horrible anime. It's like PC games, you play enough rubbish from a genre then it starts to remove your enjoyment of that genre.

Sarge is doing great overall. He had a bit of a rough morning, I think the sounds of the neighbors being particularly loud through the night scared him, but we cuddled up on the couch and he was back to sleeping before long. He's now snoring next to me, and I'm hoping when he wakes he'll have at least somewhat forgotten being so spooked.
His training is going great. I'm blown away all the time at how smart he is, how quickly he grasps things. We are likely going to sign him up for another actual training class (he had six sessions of "puppy pre-school," and though he's doing great training at home, we fell in love with the trainer we found, who works out of her home, and Sarge loved her too, so we're going to do at least one more session of classes with him, probably once the heat of the summer lets up, as the next course involves training outdoors around distractions to teach focus, which is really the one area he needs a lot of work with. But then, I've go the attention span of a mayfly myself, so I can't really fault him for that. :)
He's gotten to where he kennels himself at almost exactly 9:30 at night. It's the strangest thing, he just started doing it out of nowhere. Helps me keep track of time. ;)
