Oh i'm sorry. I overlooked that post.
What i meant that every scientist needs to be aware of the (political and ethical) impact their research can have and actively pursue . So it's probably both resposibility and ethics.
I based that on thoughts from Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker and it's quite difficult for me to translate and summarize them at this time of the day.
ddickinson: You are right, C&C 3 was just not right. It just did not feel like a continuation of the main C&C story. Like I said, they should just have had Nod use the crashed ship for new technology. GDI had it's global research and wealth, NOD has the alien tech. But I guess EA had other ideas for the game and wanted Aliens. Maybe they wanted it to be like StarCraft. :-) It seemed so. That's why they needed three factions. But C&C is no Starcraft. Never was and never will be. And i like the idea of NOD using the alien tech.
Well EA seriously messed up the storyline. Not to mention Red Alert 3 (altough it was a fun game but i couldn't take it seriously. The water mechanics were interesting though) and Tiberian Twilight....
