EndreWhiteMane: As you know my health is not the greatest, as a result I have been through things like you are going through many times.
So far, even when it sounded like I had issues, all results have been good.
Hang in there, sometimes I don't think most doctors have an empathetic bone in their bodies.

Thank you. I will be fine, despite it all I am still my usual happy self. A bit tired and stressed, but I do not intend to let any of it get me down. Someone here has to keep the average up, far too many "okays" and "fines" in here as it is. :-)

ddickinson: Sadly not. The whole thing has been a big mess *sad sigh*. It's a long story, but no, no results, and I have to go for some more scans and blood tests. So it looks like I have a few more weeks of little sleep due to all the stress and worry. But these things happen, I am sure it will all be okay in the end.

I have no idea why I'm waiting for the GOG timer when I spent the last of my money on Distant Worlds.
Maybe I should get a life?

I looked on the Matrix site. Distant Worlds seems like one hell of a 4x game. But do i get this right? They offer the download after you bought a game only for a limited time?

Yes, you have 14 days to download it. After that time you can email them for a new download link though.
I consider it the better option to Steam, now I have a copy of the installer and the CD key.

Edit: I actually bought it from Slitherine, which as near as I can tell is the exact same place.

Well that fair i guess. And you can get a free steam key if i read that correctly.

I see "Also available on Steam" but I don't see where it says it includes a free Steam key.

Edit: Yep, you can get a Steam key, you just have to register your game with Matrix (Slitherine) first.
