j0ekerr: And it was a STAR WARS PROMO!

I got everything in the saber bundle off that humble bundle a few months back.

Yes I know, I worship false gods.
Nothing to be sorry about. From what I recall the games were A LOT cheaper on Humble, so I don't blame people getting them on Steam.

GhostwriterDoF: Good morning (afternoon and evening) to everyone.

It's just before 6 am, and I've already read through the post posts...
(and a few of the Threads in the Forum that caught my eye)

All is well here, trying to decide what to have for breakfast.
And since Billy hasn't added a song of the day yet...
Dreams are on the menu for now. :)

Seems like everyone is doing well today.

<places a dozen pillows around Agentbirdsnest>

<ruffles everyone's hair and feathers playfully>
Moin. Yup. fine here how are you?

ddickinson: So I guess you will be performing some self-flagellation if we get some Star Trek games. :-)
When doesn't he?

avatar
ddickinson: Even better, get some Doctor Who games as well. An epic war between the three nerdoms. :-)
Is there such a thing?

I seem to remember reading about a Dalek game for the ZX.

Let's see about that when it's time ;) - thank god there are no Babylon 5 video games ^^

But i'd really like to see some Star Trek games here: Elite Force 1+2, Armada 1+2, The Fallen etc...
(That would need Activision and Simon & Schuster -.-)

It seems I own only a single game from the promo.

CarrionCrow: I don't think I've played a Trek game since ones for the original Nintendo, a very long time ago.

I agree with you about FMV's. There's so much pretension to video games, so much aspiring for something cinematic, that people forget that something bad can be made good if it's bad in an amusing way.
A lot of the old FMV's remind me of 80's b-movies, which are usually quite enjoyable. They were a nice touch, and they helped to remind you that what you are playing is a fun and enjoyable game, not something "cinematic" and up its own arse. :-)

As a nerdom? No, I made that word up. :-)

There are a few Doctor Who games, I think. But I think the BBC decided to concentrate on mobile and console gaming.

ddickinson: Of course, we could also be getting a new language added to GOG, and thus a promo from that region(s). Maybe Spanish?
I knew it wouldn't be that. Not enough important a market when compared to Germany and France.

Quite so, it's the only bundle I've ever seen on humble, in which the average tier games went for under 10 cents less than the top tier price tag. Which I think was 12 bucks.

For me, it's a win-win. If they're bad but funny, it's enjoyable.
If they're bad enough to make me angry, they're still memorable. Works out either way.

The cinematic crap makes me think of Mass Effect, and its ultimate miserable failure at being a movie-like sci-fi game series.

CarrionCrow: Well, it's here and the bundles, while Star Wars related, still look pretty nice price-wise.
Pretty nice indeed, I can get all 10 for less money than the 3 that are on my wishlist at regular price.
KOTOR 1 and 2 for $2.29? Wow.
avatar
ElTerprise: Hmm...Star Wars Saber bundle looks interesting.
Agreed. Two list games, which is good, and seven tagalongs, which would be annoying if I wasn't getting them for roughly 74 cents apiece.

-laughs- Thinking along very similar lines. Might as well wipe them all out, since I doubt that bundle will be shown for less any time soon, if ever.
The other bundle still has room to drop more, though.

Yeah really great. I actually forgot to put Kotor 1+2 on my wishlist but that doesn't matter now. The saber bundle will mine....when i'm home..

Isn't Spanish in the top 5 most spoken languages in the world? But I guess not in areas that have the internet or a big trade in video games. I guess from a business point of view you want to cater for the highest potential user base based on facts other than the number of people speaking a language.

It seems the two GOG bundles have a strange discount thing going on. One is 35%, the other is 75%. I wonder why such a big difference?

Sorry to burst your bubble but...

That's what I thought, aside from some really old games for the BBC family.

Quick! She showed an opening! Ninja gift her!

For me there are few more games. Jedi knight II and III fro example. Time to replay them as my cds of them don't work anymore... and i wnated to get EaW and the KOTOR games as well :)

ddickinson: Good morning!

Glad to hear all is well. D you have anything fun planned for your day?
Nothing special planned for today, or out of the ordinary (let’s hope it stays that way).

I was happy to read about your wonderful weekend and that you are doing well,
though you've been out trudging through the cold. wet countryside, and are covered in mud. ;)
