CarrionCrow: The dungeons do get large after a bit, and there's a lot of loot distribution/buying/selling/organizing, but it's not bad.
Taking breaks in between so I don't get tired of playing and switch over to something else.
Understandable. That 's what happens to me often in games...

EndreWhiteMane: Morning all.

ddickinson: Good morning! *big morning hug*

How are you today, is the knee any better?
Morning DD, knee is better, both are a bit sore now which is their normal state. ;)
Glad you had a great weekend.

ElTerprise: Does Icewind Dale occupy too much time then?

This happens to me quite regularly, especially with big RPGs. They're usually my favorite games, but after putting in so many hours, I'll often tire of the game temporarily and move onto something else. I'll then make my way back to it once the feeling passes. :)

LaPtiteBete: ......I can't remember the main character's name either... :-| ... ??? Patrick ? lol
I find the puzzles globally too easy... where did you get stuck ?...
LOL at the nudity n__n ... good point.
lol :-D ... I don't remember his first name, either... I think his last name is Banks (?)
I got stuck at the bookshelf puzzle. I -never- would have figured that out. My friend figured it out for me :"p

EndreWhiteMane: Sadly the one sold in the Stardock store requires Steam also. :/
Thank you for looking though. ;)

Morning all.

adaliabooks: Hey Endre :)

They seem to be selling a disc copy for £7 on Amazon here (UK Amazon obviously).. not sure whether it needs Steam or not, and it's been so long since I've bought games on CD I don't know how to tell... :/
Thanks Adalia, looks like the prices for used ones are about the same as here.
But I don't know if there's drm on the CD versions either.
I'll probably just have to go with Steam on this one, it's number one on my wishlist at the moment. ;)

Morning, Endre :)

You're looking for GalCiv II? I think the version Adalia found on Amazon might be steamless as it is from kalypso. Might look into my retail version from Kalypso when i'm back home to find out...

akhliber: Good morning, all! Hugs and coffee all around. Trying to wake up enough to get back to puppy-proofing the house. Looks like we'll be bringing Sgt. Pupper home in the next couple days! Today's primary task will be moving my records to somewhere safer and not at floor level. I'm just too damn tired today to get moving. :)
Good morning!

A new puppy sounds like a lot of fun, but puppy-proofing sounds like hard work. Hopefully some coffee will help wake you up and get on with the task.

CarrionCrow: Yeah, it did. Course, it's effectively shut down my progress in Grimrock and I'm going to have to restart Pillars now since I've lost the thread of the narrative, so it's a bit of a mixed blessing.

Idly curious to see what's coming, but I'm not a big Star Wars fan, so that's not hugely appealing.
If it's more Lucasarts point and clicks, I'll add those to the list and pick them up when I have more money.

Additional - Good morning, Endre and Akhliber. Good afternoon, Adalia. =)
Be careful, if the Star Wars nerds hear you say you are not a big fan then they will be angry. :-)

I am hoping for some more adventure games as well. I really do not like Star Wars, it's okay, but so overrated, and some of the fans just take things way too far.

avatar
adaliabooks: Yeah, I know :)
Looks like he might get his wish...
I think it will just be another (the final?) batch of releases, not a sale as such, and definitely not a Star Wars themed sale. I think they will probably save that for when the next movie is released.

Glad you had a great weekend.
I knew all that talk of Crow in a nurses uniform giving you a bed bath would help you heal quicker. :-)

Thank you, my weekend was just wonderful. I have had a big smile on my face ever since I got back home.

So, other than your sore knees, how are you, did you have a nice weekend?

I don't really go back and continue dormant saves after not touching them for a while, usually.
With something like Grimrock that has little in the way of a story, it's not an issue.
But with Pillars, I don't want to damage the experience by going back in after it's sat for too long, so that's getting restarted.

Aloha EIT, thanks, I'd appreciate that.

ddickinson: Good morning! *big morning hug*

Are you looking forward to today's mystery surprise? I kind of preferred it when they started these things at 11am GMT. But it seems they changed it to a more suitable time for the US.
I've only ever known releases at 14:00 GMT but lately, the've been showing up at wonky hours. I am confused now.

Is Judas big announcement supposed to come up in 16 minutes?

This is definitely the biggest drawback. I just have trouble focusing my attention on one thing for too long. But it is quite a pain when I go back to a big RPG after a long break (during which I surely played another story-based game) and forget what's happening and what I was working on in-game.

You're welcome. I hope i can find it :).

adaliabooks: Yeah, Judas also mentioned updates to Star Wars games in the Where is Tuesday's Game thread, in a way that looked a lot like a hint... so I'm imagining more Lucas Arts / Star Wars stuff might be it. Particularly with May the Fourth coming up.

Hello again everyone :)
Moin Adalia :).

They'll get over it. I've never been a huge fan of either that or Star Trek (which seem to be the two main ones), saw the movies and they were fine, but I didn't think they were so great that I fell in love with them.
It would take a better series than either has brought to the table to get me that interested.

They used to do sales and such at 11:00 GMT, with some releases being 14:00 GMT, which I assumed was to match the release time on Steam. But I guess it was too early for those in the US, so they moved it a few hours to make it more suitable for their largest customer base.
