ddickinson: Good morning!

Glad to hear you are feeling extra alright! :-)

All is good for me, just doing some dreaded paperwork and making phone calls.

Do you have anything nice planed for your day?
Paperwork? Are you requisitioning some new upgrades for your Power Armor?

I’m planning on reading through jOekerr’s other short story I missed yesterday,
and doing some work on my own writing too.

Yesterday I tried to set up a GoG user wiki profile but they are not allowing new registrations, and I’m not sure who to contact (it says to contact an administrator).

And I’m also shopping around for a bionic knee for Endre. :)

EndreWhiteMane: That's great! Didn't know Airplane had a sequel. *goes looking*

Later. Have a good day. ;)
I actually like the dubbed version even more. In lieu of coffee they used a very popular soft drink which at the time was advertising itself exactly like this. With major panics and riots occurring when a household ran out of the drink.

ne_zavarj: I'm dead tired .

Forgot to say : Good afternoon everyone .
Good afternoon!

CarrionCrow: Shit...between Transistor, Not a Hero, the Gumshoe bundle on Bundle of Holding and that, my game budget is going really fast.
avatar
Ixamyakxim: I like the name "Gumshoe Bundle" LOL - is it a bunch of detective Point and Clicks?

I not sure what if anything I'll pick up but it's still really exciting to see GoG get stuff like this. I've heard about Kerbal for years (seems like its been in early access for at least 2 or 3) and can't wait to flip through a few screenshots when the game card goes up.
Here you go. Gumshoe's the name of the mechanics system that a person uses in an array of pen and paper books they produce.
I've been wanting to jump in, and now that it's on discount via the BoH site, I'll be able to without burning all my coin in the process.

For me, Not A Hero will probably be the next new game purchase. I want to get into Ys, but I think my best bet is to play them in release order.

Good afternoon to you. Sorry you're so tired.
That seems to be a very common thing in this thread. ;)
avatar
CarrionCrow: It looks extremely good. Not sure if I'll pick it up during the discount phase, but it'll definitely be a purchase.
avatar
j0ekerr: As lauded as it is, I just can't get into the whole ARPG genre. I've got Bastion on the console, collecting virtual dust.
You know what you like. No point in buying things that don't appeal to you, just for the sake of buying them.
Contrary to popular belief, we're supposed to actually play these things, not just stack them up until the end of time.
avatar
GhostwriterDoF: Good Morning, Afternoon, and Evening to everyone here, not yet here, and to you lurkers too...

I got a couple extra hours of sleep in last night, so today I'm feeling extra alright! (I'll take 'em as I can get 'em)...

I'm still in busy mode but things are settling down, luckily all the drama around me isn't my own.

<ruffles everyone's hair and feathers playfully>

You all seem to be in good spirits and having a good day,
hoping the end of the week will take you to a restful, or productive
weekend (whichever suits you best, including both).

Otherwise, how's the world turning for you all?
Good morning. =)

Glad to hear you're doing well. Always, always, always better when the drama isn't directly attached to you.

Playing catch up here. Downside of Icewind Dale - no decent windowed mode, so when I ran through a bit of that, I started running behind on the thread. -laughs-

CarrionCrow: I'm slowly rebuilding. I used to have quite a few, but lost almost all of them.
Can't remember how I found Bundle of Holding, but when they have a game someone wants, it's a great way to save money.
I still have in the cupboard my werewolf book along with some tribe and rulebooks, Mage, The Warzone rulebook and Champions New Millenium.

And now you've got me thinking about the photocopies of Magna Veritas, which we always referred to by its second name for shits and giggles. Whatever happened to them I wonder?

EDIT: I quite liked warzone, it was a lot more interesting, dynamic and skirmish based than 40K. Unfortunately, the game went under and the only place you can get miniatures is ebay or a flea market.

However games like Infinity and Warmachine have picked the baton and offer similar games in a landscape dominated by Games Workshop.

ddickinson: But think of the incentive he would have to get better. I am sure his knee would already be healed if he had you looking after him in tiny nurses uniform and giving him bed baths. He would be back on his feet and out the door in no time. :-)
He'd be trading knee pain for severe mental trauma. Probably not the best possible option. -laughs-

Out the door does sound accurate, though. As in running out the door and heading for the hills.

CarrionCrow: -laughs- "Of use"...sounds like you're hard on yourself.

It's easy around here. Don't be crappy to other people. That's it. Everything else is saying whatever comes to mind. =)

akhliber: Sounds like a good guideline for life in general. I get lost in tangents and become far too verbose when I get going, so I often feel I've little to contribute, but that's certainly a personal hang-up to work on and not the result of responses I've received around these forums. :)
Be careful, though, telling me to feel free to say whatever comes to mind. You may regret that one day! ;)
Verbose and prone to tangents...you sound like me. -laughing hard-

Go for it. If people here are kind enough to sift through my crap, anything you have to say will be fine, I'm sure. ;)

EndreWhiteMane: Do you enjoy reading the materials that come with them or just collecting?
You don't seem the type who would enjoy the 'multiplayer' aspect.
I enjoy books with good writing, good settings, interesting ways of looking at things.
Also, it's a bit of a habit since I got my first book at age 12. The multiplayer thing doesn't really happen since I'm pretty frigging far from social offline, but I still enjoy the material.

Ah cool I actually didn't know they did PnP PDFs - had never heard of that set of tabletop mechanics (obviously LOL - I went straight to thinking Tex Murphy and the like ;) )
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: I'm really feeling much better. :/
avatar
ddickinson: *Pictures Endre throwing off his leg support and doing a cartwheel in order to avoid Crow giving him a bed bath. Then walking off with tears in his eyes as he tries to hide the pain he is in with his still bad knee* :-)
I like Endre, but I have no problem saying that I don't want to get to know him that well. -laughs-

Okay, step one - go here, do what it says, and once you have the script loaded, send a PM to Barefoot_Monkey requesting a GOGWiki account. That should do it.

Exhaustion sucks, sorry you're having to deal with it. Like Endre said, it's a pretty common thing around here.
Do you have any problem with caffeine abuse, by chance?

I don't drink coffee more than five years .
Hello again everyone *big hugs and waves*

I still have a few Battletech books, some old World of Darkness stuff like the final revised core Vampire book, Freak Legion, Hunter, stuff like that.

No clue, I always wished that came out in English. I like In Nomine, but after hearing it was an adaptation of the title you mentioned, I wanted to read it.

They're putting out a new edition of Mutant Chronicles. If it does well, maybe a new Warzone will show up to go with it. It'd make sense being based in the same world.

Warmachine looks good, but I'd probably buy a digital version first. No point in stacking miniatures with no one to play against.

Additional - wasn't the full title of that game In Nomine Satanis Magna Veritas? That sounds right, wanted to guess without immediately running off to Google to check.

Gotcha, never seen a PnP game so I had no idea what it consisted of. ;)

Makes sense, given the title. From what I've read about it, the Gumshoe rules are supposed to include ways to keep players on track during investigation-based games, making sure there are ways for them to reach the end of each adventure rather than missing something and that being the end of the game.

And of course, thinking of digital P.I.'s, Tex definitely comes to mind.

Yeah, the site Bundle of Holding works with has thousands of PDF's for people to buy. They can still be overpriced at times, but they do largely help with the increasing cost of physical copy game books.

Fair enough. What do you typically do to regain energy when you need to be up?
