CarrionCrow: All right...went to the store...it was mostly empty so I'm figuring that all the procrastinators, the last minute "I forgot such and such" people, the religious types, they're all still busy.

That works.
avatar
ElTerprise: Good afternoon! Happy Easter.

How are you doing today?
Good afternoon. =)

Doing pretty well here. Had a quiet run of errands, gave my roommates a hand since they want to do the whole ham dinner thing before I had so much as a cup of coffee in my system, but I'm catching up on that now.

How's your day going?

Howdy Crow...

What's on the menu for today? Food and game-wise, that is.

Sounds like you are feeling good and the world is turning well in your favor. :)

Doing great here too. Was at the port with my family and we did a ship tour. Weather is good and temperatures are reasonable today (I've an attached picture of said tour in on of my previous posts).

But i still haven't seen an Easter bunny doing its job ^^. I think there is a conspiracy going on *grabs tinfoil hat* :P

Hey there, Ghost. =)

Food-wise, it's looking like ham, whatever extras the roommates feel like having, and a nice big salad that I don't have to share since they're not huge fans of greens.

For games, it's probably going back to Legend of Grimrock, maybe some Escape Goat 1 and 2 alongside.
Trying to decide if I should wrestle with the antiquated interface of Wasteland 1 before starting Wasteland 2, also.

Yeah, it's not bad. Turns out that television programs cause me to get all introspective if I watch them for hours at a time.
Sometimes not the greatest of ideas, but as it turns out, when I rip out all the mopey nonsense, things are pretty good. =)

How's the weekend going for you?

That sounds really cool, I'm glad you were able to have a fun time. =)

-laughs- I haven't seen any specifically Easter-related bunnies running around. Just the normal ones that run around in the dust.
They always look like they're heading somewhere in a hurry, feels like it'd be rude to stop them and ask where the Easter one is.

I’m having a nice quiet morning, it’s cloudy and cool outside, and I’ve got a giant pot of burrito makings ready.

I haven’t installed Wasteland 1 yet, but might do that today too, after I test out those Alien/Zombie shooter games.

One of the wonderful things about television broadcast technology , when watching something worth watching, is that you can travel around the world, under the sea and even into outer-space without ever leaving your living room. But I do wonder what it is your are watching that is making you introspective..?

Burritos...always a favorite. As such, I've got to ask what you've got simmering away over there.

-laughs- I don't think it was the program. I started watching Sons of Anarchy last evening, nothing that would help facilitate that kind of thought.
I think the passive nature of watching television programs doesn't even begin to fully engage my brain, unless it's something very different, very strange that draws me into it fully. So while one part of my brain is processing the show, the rest is sitting there thinking since it has nothing else to do but twiddle its thumbs.

They do seem incredibly resilient. Not sure what type of bunny you have locally, but the ones around here run around in the dust, where there's barely any water and no visible food source.

I'm not sure but i think it's just the typical european rabbit. I live in the periphery of Hamburg which has some rural areas. So the bunnies i see are often on the fields where they should find enough to survive ;).

But in the desert....maybe some grasses if there are any?....Sound like badass bunnies to me ;P.

They must be getting food from the agricultural area that's miles away. Only thing that makes sense.
Nothing grows where the water runs out, aside from weeds that are full of thorns. Seems like that would be a really unpleasant meal...
Never eaten so much chocolate in one day. I'm full.

I made ground beef base, seasoned with basil and Worcestershire sauce, separately cooked (and drained of grease), then mixed with a tomato chili sauce base, with red bell peppers, garlic, and onions, and made Mexican rice too. All I have to do is shred some pepper-jack and cheddar cheese and heat up some refried beans to wrap up, topped with Tapatio hot sauce!

Have to make large amounts as I have a couple roommates, (a couple) to feed, been with me for15 years so they are like family now (as long as they stay out of my kitchen) ;).

I know what you mean about that emptiness leading to wandering thoughts by general broadcast pollution on the TV, even without cable there is a 100 channels with not much on, although there are some WGN-like movie channels available. I usually have the TV on for background noise whilst I’m cooking, and never have it on when I’m online. Thankfully I have a large movie collection.

Damn, that sounds good. Doubtful that I'll do it today with roommates being wrapped up in traditional cooking, but I think I'll be making some burritos soon.

At this point, I don't watch general television. The roommates always have it on, but it's in another room.
Near wall-to-wall garbage, channel after channel of crap I'd have to be lobotomized to find enjoyable.

For me it's primarily Netflix on my computer, maybe some Hulu or Funimation if I'm in the mood for a show that Netflix doesn't carry.
It provides better things to watch, and I get it for a fraction of what the roommates pay for satellite service.
Also, the local pawn shop is occasionally a treasure trove of movies for next to nothing in cost.
