CarrionCrow: It's pretty good. Right now I'm stuck trying to get through a maze of slime monsters that chew my party to pieces like a starving dog with a bone, but I'll get through it eventually.
The atmosphere is quite nice. I don't have music playing over the top of it, since there isn't much music and you really want to be able to hear things like, say, giant spiders creeping up behind you or the sound of a door opening in the far distance after you find and hit a switch.

Stilton: That sounds good, and like it has a decent atmosphere. It reminds me of playing Tomb Raider way back and after yanking a lever and hearing a distant stone grating, scouting around to see what had happened. The creeping up behind bit sounds good, too. Got to love a good atmosphere - it can make a gaming experience into something you never quite forget. I still have TR1 imprinted on my DNA. Wow, did I love that game.
Yes, the atmosphere's pretty important. It's the difference between a tense dungeon crawl, and a Final Fantasy 13-type nightmare where you want everything, including yourself, to die.

Is FF13 really that bad?

Doing OK, another day of fighting with people but it's time to relax now.
Grimrock's pretty cool huh? Hard though.

Relaxing is much better when possible.

Yes, to both those statements. I like it, and it's also kicking my ass at the moment. Stupid, stupid slime monsters...

I'm okay. Attempting to get my head around what appear to be simple tasks in Linux and feeling like I need to learn Swahili first, and tightrope walking, and how to eat large quantities of rock. All at the same time. Its a bit perverse, but I actually like it, and so far haven't been put off by a success rate which is yet to reach zero.

I think I've entered the realm of the disturbed....

'Night, ElTerprise!

Linux can be pretty addicting. Amazing the work that can be done and then offered for free.
There are many pieces of software offered that rival the Windows (expensive) equivalents.
