ElTerprise: Unlike Uwe Boll who is just bad imho.
You germans must hate him. I don't know many german movies,I love Der Untergang and Metropolis, but he seems like a stain on the whole german cinema scene.

ElTerprise: Okay no i get it. Looks like i'm a Döskopp ;).
Ah, don't sell yourself short! ;-D

ddickinson: That sounds nice. I hope you have a very nice time. What are you making for dessert?

I'm improvising on the traditional semolina-based halva.

Now who on here have I ever scared? Everyone knows I am all sweetness and light. :-)
Yeah, right.

And it being your favourite activity doesn't necessarily mean you're always successful. ;-)

CarrionCrow: Get sidetracked, or not feeling well so you had to delay certain things?
avatar
FearfulSymmetry: A combination of the two. I've been very busy lately so it's hard to force myself to sit down and do some actual work, and of course my back/neck decided to act up today as well. So I didn't get as much done as I would have liked to, but I'll try to catch up tomorrow. :) What about you, are you doing all right?
But of course. Sorry to hear that, recurring injuries seemingly love to give people grief when they're trying to get things done.
Can't complain here. Didn't save the universe or anything, but nothing bad happened, so I'll take it.
avatar
Stilton: I'm learning that, and actually kind of enjoying it... ;-)
avatar
ElTerprise: It's interesting, isn't it? I think FTL got me in the direction of rougelikes as i'm now kore willing to try them out.
I died so often in this game and still i play it.
FTL's another one I've got and haven't played yet (along with about 6,000 others... Damn these GOG sales...) but I'm looking forward to it (along with about 6,000 others... Damn these GOG sales...) -laughs-

l0rdtr3k: Anyone want to watch Plan 9 and Night of the Living Dead?
It depends.
How much are you paying?

Quiet days can be good as well, right? And I'm sure everything will be all right for me, I'm just really looking forward to the day I finish my bachelor's thesis. :P
avatar
CarrionCrow: Glad to hear it. =)
Pretty standard day here. Did some stuff around the house, helped out a roommate with errands.
Now I'm going back and forth on whether or not to scrape my post-Insomnia pennies together for Starpoint Gemini 2, or wait until it hits during a big sale.
Do you think Starpoint Gemini 2 will go on sale again at the price it is now? If so, then if it was me I would wait until a big sale, especially given the amount of games I already have to play. But if you think it's the cheapest it will get and you want to play it, then maybe get it now while it's on offer.

These movies are great. Low budget,Plan 9 is considered the worst movie ever but they're good IMO.
You can find them on Youtube,I think they're public domain.

HypersomniacLive: Yeah, right.

I will have you know my favourite activity here is giveaways and gifting (well, it's actually chatting to all the awesome people), followed closely by scaring some of the boys. And I have a nice T-Shirt from Crew to prove my love of gifting. :-)

I wouldn't consider him part of the german cinema scene. But the german cinema is not hat great along with german television. But with Der Untergang and Metropolis you've two great movies - well Metropolis is a real classic.

My day was very well, thank you. How are you today? Have you had a nice day?

I'd wait for a sale - you know how good it feels when you can knock another off the list and do it reasonably inexpensively ;-)

And I seem to remember trentonlf was about to get a "special" jacket from you girls. :-P

So long as they don't shift from quiet to boring it's fine. The boring ones get old very quickly.

How much more work do you need to do to have that completed?

Doesn't matter, the "you're not always successful" part still applies. ;-P

Yes, I'm figuring it will. Haven't seen it this low before, but once a title hits a certain price point, it's a pretty safe bet that it will do so again eventually.

-laughs- Very true, especially with Insomnia having more than a few more expensive items.
After that, I could definitely go for a sale where I'm not still shelling out 15+ dollars a title repeatedly.
