adaliabooks: It's been years since I've played so I can't remember if there was a specific trick to beat him or not.. like if he absorbed certain types of damage (I think he did).

I played what I believe was a Japanese ROM that had been fan translated because the names of things were all different to the English PlayStation rerelease a friend played.

I should probably get the GBA version at some point for the extra content.
I can't remember either, except that the stronger Omega Weapon definitely did that and a whole heap of other annoying tricks.

You should definitely give the GBA version a go! ;D
