Bedlam (GT Interactive, 1996)

A futuristic isometric shooter where you pilot a heavily armed robot in revolt against its human masters. Nothing too fancy or complicated: you basically move around and blow stuff up. All the shooting action can get a tad repetitive over its 25, large maze-like (read: switches) levels, at least according to some reviews, but it could be a nice addition to GOG's catalogue nonetheless (maybe bundled with its 1997 sequel - basically more of the same).

Take No Prisoners is the 9th member of the respectable Hall of Fame, handing the crown over to The Sting!
Area 51 and Disney's Hercules made an impressive entry to the list with all the new votes they have earned.
I would like to draw attention to the fantastic FPS set in the vietnam war called Vietcong. It just oozed immersion and was overall really solid, both with the gameplay it offered, the mission layouts, and the voice overs (and of course the licensed music). I would highly recommend people go vote for it so we might play this amazing game again some day.

SECRET MISSION (1996)

[currently 163 votes]

This is one of the Microids classics, an awesome adventure game for those who enjoy Indiana Jones and/or Broken Sword. It is quite underrated though and never got the fame and appreciation it deserved. The graphics are very colorful and charming. The game resembles Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Broken Sword, but the theme is more like James Bond (50s espionage). Another interesting fact was that Secret Mission was one of the titles developed for the Philips CD-i console, which never achieved much success.

Yes, the game had its flaws. However, there are many Matrix fans out there and it is a shame that this game is nowhere to be found. The Matrix Online and Enter The Matrix are the two games that can satisfy the Matrix hunger. The former was a MMORPG, so we should at least get our hands on Enter the Matrix.

Looks good, pity it isn't online.
Gender Wars got the most votes this round, followed by Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy and Disney's Hercules
PEOPLE'S GENERAL (1998)

[currently 282 votes]

We have some of the great Panzer General games on board, but not the People's General without any good reason whatsoever (maybe it is not titled Panzer General)? People's General was one of the great titles in the classic General series by Strategic Simulations and a direct sequel to Panzer General 2 with a great theme, conflict between China and NATO. It was also a critically acclaimed game (94 by PC Gamer) and features more than 50 campaigns. People's General definitely belongs here and it is one of the most underappreciated games by the voters of GOG wishlist.
