Right up my alley & made by Zachtronics? Very interested in it.
Wonderful news, Zachtronics' titles always intrigue me, but the last few have been too complicated for me, this one seems perfect for me.
Zachtronics, turn based... interesting!!!

Who are the “Americans” attacking America, and why? Find out in the game’s extensive single-player campaign

Nice that they focused on a single player campaign. I would like to know what happens between tactical missions, and how does the actions of the player influence the course of the campaign.

When you’re ready for some R&R, play a new kind of solitaire, solve Zachtronics-style puzzles, and even read the U.S. military manuals that inspired the game.

Nice touches. Very Zachtronic-like.

So after covering assembler programming, electronic devices, alchemy, hacking... they came with a wargame. This might fill a bit of the gap since People's General. Unless there are similar turn-based games in post-WWII scenarios that I do not know of (if you do point them my way!)

So it's like Daisenryaku in an alternative US? Sounds cool.

Sadly not on GOG, but Every Single Soldier made two good ones over the last few years called Vietnam '65 and Afghanistan '11. They were both published by Slitherine, so it certainly would be possible for them to get released on GOG too.

Also published by Slitherine are "Armored Brigade" and the more hardcore "Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm Player's Edition".
"Everything we have we took from someone else...and one day someone will come along and take it from us"

You sold me the game with the last part of the trailer. Such an exceptionally good phrase. Kudos...and I'll see you "soon".

Don't forget their Ironclad Tactics

Turn based tactics on a hex grid... I didn't expect you to sink to selling crack cocaine GOG. I'll buy half of a bag for now.

I have no idea what's that, but I've just found it's from Zachtronics and I think I don't need anything else to know.
Wishlisted.
Funny, Zachtronics doesn't ring a bell right now but it's late. Though people seem pumped, and it looks like Advance Wars, and it looks nifty as hell, so I wishlisted !

Be nice to a have GOG version, but aren't both games DRM free on the Matrix website? I bought couple games from Matrix, like shadow empire.
