Nightdive Studios and Ziggurat Interactive have teamed up to bring back this sophisticated shooter laced with gallows humor and visual violence to bestow mayhem to all – Killing Time: Ressurrected is coming soon on GOG!

Set in the early 1930s, Killing Time: Ressurrected casts you as a student, studying the cryptic world of Egyptology, who finds themselves trapped in the estate of wealthy heiress Tess Conway. A ritual to bestow eternal life conducted by Ms. Conway backfires and her high-society friends vanish without a trace. It’s up to you to find and destroy the mystical Egyptian Water-Clock to undo its curse and face a legion of super(natural) horrors.

Wishlist it now!
Excellent news ! I played the demo of Killing Time on my old Mac, back in the day.

timppu: There is a "Killing Time" game on GOG already, so is this "merely" a polished version of that?
Yes. This is going to be another ~$25 or so remaster, considering the original still goes for $10. Also, the discount on the original will never again be the usual 35% that it had been until this announcement, as evidenced by the current lowered discount (25%).

That's not really evidence ....
it will be overpriced

It's been 35% since forever and come end of May, it suddenly becomes 25%. Then a remaster announcement drops. You can call it a coincidence, but those are very rare. We'll see, time will tell, but I don't expect the 35% to come back any time soon.

Ok, in that case I don't consider this as "bringing back" (reviving) an old game. Still nice to get a more polished version I guess, especially if the original version has some issues with clunky controls. I know the enhanced version (not the remake) of System Shock was great because of better mouselook controls.
@GOG: I just wanted to check how many of those remastered Nightdive games could actually be called overpriced and I used the filter and was pretty surprised to see just a few games released by Nightdive ... I then figured out that the company that released those games like Blade Runner and Shadow Man are actually listed as Night Dive instead of Nightdive. Is this correct? Are these different companys?

No, absolutely not. Most probably a typo mistake...

If that's the case GOG should probably fix it since it makes the filter kind of useless.:)

Oh, interesting ! It seems I was a bit hasty ^^'... Actually, in that case (for once :D), it's not that much their bad. Night Dive Studios did get rebranded in 2016 as "Nightdive Studios". Yes, exciting news, I know ^^...
Considering how much priority assets Gog apparently spends on their website, I guess they didn't update the descriptions. Or maybe they even can't do so, because of legal considerations... I don't know.
Not that this makes the said filters more useful now though ^^...

Grargar: Resurrected. With one "s".
Exactly. I'm very dissapointed with whomever did that.

If only there wass ssome kind of, I dunno, sspelling verification function that would work when you type wordss, that would inform you through ssome ssort of real-time indication that the word wass misssssspelled.
I never played this back in the day so this could be fun.
For anyone wanting a good amount of information about this game, Ross did a Game Dungeon on it a while back. It was a playthrough of the original, but based on the trailer for the remake, the apple didn't fall very far. I think it's going to be tough as nails. Based on what I remember from Ross's playthrough, the story and narrative are complete random jumble. Themes and cohesion is barely there as well. It was a jumbled mess of randomness converted into an FPS.

Granted, if Nightdive is onboard for this remaster, then so am I. Will probably check it out and see why this random nonsense of a game became such a cult hit.

It's not that bad to be honest. The gimmick with the ingrained FMVs was pretty cool, the story was not that hard to follow, the shooting is passable and I enjoyed hunting down the gems. The weirdest thing is probably the enemies and some of the music choices, but it gives the game that "weird" feel that made it enjoyable to me. The game even makes the effort to explain why there are random weapons strewn about or why some enemies look the way they do.
