I think the censorship has something to do with germany. Look at the twatter for more info. Or, it could just be GOG...
IWhat could be most entertaining is how they handle the... trap... or not a trap? Dev specifically said they thought traps were popular among his audience since he did some research (Let's be clear, here, i don't think the dev is among his target audience, as implied by how he talked about this issue, not that it's a problem, but it's important to note). The trap question has "been answered:" (well, sorta) you'll be given an option at the beginning of the game on how you plan on dealing with the Trap: male or female body parts.
Now, for the controversial bit: it wasn't clarified whether this has anything to do with the trans community or not ('cause, well, you can be a trap without being trans). This could turn into the next controversy very quickly. I doubt there's a way to handle it that would make "both sides" happy.
Also, there's some shit going around about the VAs. When i looked into it, looked like a major nothingburger. There was an underage VA, that they didn't know was underage, so he got canned. One of the VAs got pregnant, so she leftthe project. Then, 1, 2, or 3 VAs lost their cool for unspecified reasons and took to twitter to raise hell. The dev then backed off of firing them, but we don't know the full story and likely never will. However, from what little i saw, it boils down to someone being super pissy about working overtime and went off the rails: if i read her words correctly, she hasn't even spent a full 24 hours total on the project, so i'm not all that concerned of it being any more than shit slinging because there's an NDA involved.
