A narrative-driven point & click adventure game – Foolish Mortals is coming soon to GOG!

Obsessed with finding the lost treasure of Bellemore Manor, Murphy McCallan encounters ghosts, voodoo, and an evil phantom who wants the treasure as their own. If you want to find it, perhaps you’ll have to die too…

Check it out!

Thanks. I wasn't sure if this game is something I want to play, but after watching the video I've put it on my wishlist.

I quite like the art style. It reminds me of a higher resolution version of the first Broken Sword.
Reminder to check out Voodoo Detective, if you haven't already.
The demo makes quite a strong argument for this game. According to my cards, this will be a very expensive year of gaming, so it's time to start saving up! :-)

Speaking of cards, the use of Tarot in games seems to be(come) a new trend, and I wonder what started it. Two examples are Sovereign Syndicate, which uses Tarot cards as a replacement for dice, and The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, which revolves around building a Tarot deck. I also remember a visual novel about card reading that incorporates Tarot cards, but unfortunately, I can't recall its name.
Nice!

Backed it on KS. Started as a little project, the guy doing the drawings, his wife doing the programming.

It's good to see that they got accepted.

Developer here! Thank you all so much for the kind words about coming to GOG! It's so cool to be among so many classic adventure games. I can't wait for people to play ours when we release later this year. :)

Welcome to the forum; thanks for posting. If you ask the GOG staff they can give your account developer status (it makes your posts show up in orange).

We're not sure what price yet, but neumi5694 is right about the paid DLC soundtrack! So much of the music is Broken Sword style with lots of 10 second bits rather than looping tracks in each room, but I've put aside some of the budget to go back to those and piece them together into proper tracks that can be listened to really nicely. There'll also be an art book as paid DLC too, filled with concept art, and a foreword by Jonathan Ackley (one of the directors of The Curse of Monkey Island!).
