rtcvb32: So they allow doubles in OpenMW? Certainly the editor isn't going to be compatible...
I don't know. Is this what you meant?
avatar
ScotchMonkey: I played it on the 360 so no console commands. Its permanently fucked.
Why would you do that? :P

I'd be glad if I had rage quit when I couldn't finish the "blood on the ice" quest because if I had I wouldn't have wasted as much time trying to find something good about this game...

I've never witnessed the janky-like effect first hand, so that's interesting.

Thinking about it, it could remain compatible by using doubles internally and storing floats to stay compatible...

Now to be sure we're on the same page, a float has 24 bits of precision, 1 sign flag, and 7 bits of the power of how much the precision is shifted. This means it can be incredibly precise when the number is less than 1, however once you go above 16 million, the next closest number starts jumping up more and more and more. I forget the exact amount, but I think 1 square cell was something like 64,000 (and the average building blocks were 256[sup]3[/sup] ).

I forget the exact numbers, but for perspective I think 5 or so was about an inch. So to be more properly precise especially for walking, movement, placement of various objects, you needed a precision of 100 or 1000th. If we assume 1/100th, then the number of blocks you can go out is about 3 blocks for basically perfect precision (10 if you include the center 0). After that getting 1/10th gets you out 26 blocks. In both positive and negative directions that's 52 blocks out (2705 total blocks if you include the dead center 0).

I think the problem with your game is that you didn't join the Stormcloaks.

Could backfire. My complaint is that Beth is too shy to release FO:NV; FO4 & Skyrim on gog.

Hmmm, I should lay a trap next time I see you here. If only I had some bait...

Oh, and on topic, my complaint with Bethesda is that they haven't rereleased the Terminators. Yeah, licensed games and all, but if Interplay can do it with Star Trek, so can Bethesda.

I used to write complaint about Bethesda games like you, then I took an arrow in the knee .

Sorry, we aren't. I'm not aware of the benefits and drawbacks that come with the different methods and I don't understand the methods in the first place.

In short: I don't get it.

I don't pose limits to the complaints.
Yours is perfectly acceptable.
Can't contribute, because I'm the only person on earth who never played any Bethesda(-developed) game.

Wow, my complaints seem drab and dull in comparison.. *coughoblivionpersuasioncough*
The biggest problem with Skyrim is the game forces you to either join the Imperials(assholes) or the Stormcloaks(assholes).
I only have very limited experience with Bethesda's games (Fallout 3, Skyrim, and New Vegas - if you count the latter as a Bethesda game), but from my experience my biggest complaint would be that they're enough fun to sink dozens of hours into.
- they always throw the job of patching to the community.
- their games become further streamlined as time goes by.
- They say 'our fans are so smart', then they strip most of the stuff that requires a brain from Fallout 4.

These are really just observations from many who have actually played the games. I don't play them so I can't complain.
