Yes, I have fond memories of playing several of these classics, top-down and single screen racers!
Although, I was never really great at them, I played "Super Sprint", "Super Cars II", "Super Offroad", "Indy Heat" and others. Maybe it is their level of difficulty, but I do remember that you do not have much of a chance going forward in the championships if you did not reach the first place in almost all races (as zeffyr mentioned, already)! Because the competitors are upgrading (or getting upgrades for) their vehicles as well.
I will definitely give this one a try, when my payment method(s) issue(s) are resolved!

In the meantime, I also did enjoy the free game "Gene Rally". It does not have the lovely pixel graphics from those classics or (Nitro Racers), but the simple geometry 3D graphics are pleasant to look at, as well.

I don't remember this game.

Does the game come with the soundtrack to play on its own? It's really good music of the time.

Nope, there is none in the game's folder. But there's a CD image inside, so maybe this can be mounted as a CD Audio?
