This classic is news to me... I don't know how this one flew under the radar for me! Thanks for yet another giveaway, GOG! :)
Thanks for the freebie! ^_^
Thanks GOG for another great gift
Thanks GOG! 5 out of 6 so far, let's make a perfect score XD
Thanks GOG and Paul Cuisset/Microids for the free game! :)

I would like to use the chance to draw your attention to another action-adventure platformer classic which is not yet here:
Blackthorne! (Europeans might know it as "Blackhawk")
It could do with some more wishlist votes (if you didn't already). I think this game would fit perfectly into the GOG store.

Darvond: No thanks. I appreciate it as an offer, but it's literally just a QTE game.
It is literally not anything of the sort. Is being habitually and objectively wrong about things a natural talent of yours, or do you have to work hard at it?

Look here's how I see it: There's only one way to play it, and all the events are reaction based. Just like there wasn't a different way to play Another World. There may not be prompts or flashing lights, but it's basically just a longer paced Dragon's Lair. Impressive for the moment it happens, but watching it back on a VHS tape would accomplish the same thing.

Except it's not. It's an action platformer, and not mechanically like Dragon's Lair any more than, say, Super Mario is. You've obviously never actually played the game and haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about (not uncommon), so why not just keep quiet? It's embarrassing.
Thanks for the freebie.

Cadaver747: Nice giveaway, bought it on release. Does anyone know if the devs fixed the screen ratio since then? (it was a bit stretched from 4:3 to mimic 16:9)
No, it's still stretched. See attached image. The top shot is the PC DOS version of Flashback running in REminiscence (with correct aspect ratio) and the bottom shot is from the Flashback remake.

Note: Both games have side bars applied to fill empty space on the sides of the gameplay area. REminiscence is configured to show dimmed backgrounds of adjoining screens while the remake is configured to use mirrored and blurred edges of the gameplay area. This doesn't affect the aspect ratio and all other graphical 'enhancements' are disabled.

Nop, It has nothing to do with things like Dragon's Lair, and it departs from the strict cinematic gameplay of Another World. Although graphically is similar.
This game is more a platformer/action adventure. Prince of Persia and Blackthorne are the closest relatives, and indeed Another World at some sort. It's Even closer to more modern things like Dex than Dragon's Lair.
Thanks for the free game GoG.
I only just joined this platform and I gotta say, I'm in love! The free games you've been putting out are awesome! Kicking myself for not jumping in sooner...

Nice game.
Thanks.

Serren: No, it's still stretched.
Thank you. Good to know that creating a Microids account and filling in the ticket for tech. support was not worth it.

Oh well, REminiscence it is. I noticed new release on GitHub and that the main website is gone. Curios.
