Anime-BlackWolf: At least we know now, that GOG is willing to put everything, that really sells, into the store. Adults only be damned.

I hope they go back to other previously rejected titles like the CAVE shooters or other stuff. The LESS "curation", the better. Real junk won't sell here, so just try everything at least once.
and unban the taiwanese games maybe?

octalot: While I'd sympathise with the JAST representative for unsubscribing from this thread, if they're still here then I'd like to say:

Some of us would buy smut, but aren't going to buy anything that looks like it has a child character. Having seen the 10th image on the Frontier page, that game isn't going in my basket; and after seeing the images on the Hollow page, that's not going to get money out of my wallet. Looking at the cast photo in the first image of the Frontier page, a smaller cast could have got sales that the current one can't.

(To get my money, you also need a Linux port.)

TheGrimLord: That's fine, you're more than likely not the target audience. The anime community in general has gotten "looks like a child" comments on Twitter from people who turned out to be real pedophiles. They were virtue signaling that a drawing was equal to that of a real human child. I myself as I have said many times, do not care for loli and shotacon and I skip those scenes in these products whenever I come across them. But some people do like these things and I bear no grudge against them.
this. now i wonder how many GOG-ers here are actually sex criminals virtue-signalling on twitter...

Well, there are a lot of variables involve in that one, to say the least, good luck working that one out...

27. It would be 28, but I don't use twitter.

Reaper9988: As with any game, don't like don't buy.
How would you expect JAST to know that there's money available in a similar market, if the only feedback given is that people in that market don't buy the first two games that they bring to GOG?

That's kinda like telling someone to take out the Scifi parts of a fantasy game because you don't like Scifi.

I mean I get it, if you don't like some stuff it's hard to ignore but in this case there is enough "smut" around without any Loli involved.

Or more like remove Scifi elements in a fantasy game.
JAST isn't an author who's written 1 or 2 series, they're a publishing house with about 100 games in their back catalogue. To fit your analogy they'd be a publishing house that already sells both genres, but is testing the local market with a "something for everyone" series.

Well ok then we're having a misunderstanding here, I thought you weren't sure about JAST and just doing the we don't like these things in our city thing..so apologies.

Still testing "for everything" makes sense, guess the sales would decide.
Though I have no clue why actually stores or JAST USA decided on these 2 games specifically.

Not really a fan of VenusBlood myself but they may have picked those titles because they have gameplay elements and this is primarily a video game focused platform. Also it may have been the actual Japanese company that owns the franchise that asked JAST to do this for them. Just speculation on my part but as far as first entries go I think they're good choices.

Seelng as they are sold in Germany without VPN since you need a a patch to get the actual H scenes.
Might be chosen since they stand on their own as games without the adult fluff, actually makes sense, perfect sense.
