Shadowstalker16: Many Linux distros went 64-only in the past few months and they didn't feel the need to feed that killswitch to the users of the older versions via uncontrollable updates.
dewtech: Dude please, what is sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 ???
The fact that you can only download 64bit iso doesn't mean most repos don't contain i386 versions of libs.
What I said was the they weren't forcing the 64-bit upgrade via uncontrollable updates. Ofc repos having the 32-bit versions onhand is also nice, but that is for people who chose it.

I also hope GOG updates its games to 64-bit, but mostly out of the desire to keep their library up to date, because third party software vendors struggling is probably what Apple wants, and I say let 'em have it.
kbnrylaec: You know nothing about Linux and multilib.
Linux have perfect compatibility for 64-bit and 32-bit at the same time.
I've only installed and played with Mint 32-bit so I wouldn't say that's an unfair assessment.
