Heeeeeeeeeeeey all,
I'm finally able to enjoy decent speeds on my internetz so I'm wondering if anyone here can recommend an online game or five.

So far I have Warframe, Planetside 2, Riders of Icarus, Wildstar, Path of Exile, Brawlhalla, Paladins, Smite.
I was looking at Black Desert Online but I hear there are problems with cheaters...? It wouldn't bother me so much if the game didn't cost as much as it does.

Now, I haven't played ALL of the mentioned games yet; so does anyone have advice on something worth investing time into? Any games out there I haven't mentioned?

Theeeeeeenks.

NB This has nothing to do with that other person's thread.
Never played any MMOs.

But Tera is free, if I'm not mistaken, and it has action combat that I've seen praised a lot as being akin to Devil May Cry, and similar hack-and-slash games.
Rift is really fun, but it can turn p2win. Right now I'm playing elder scrolls online and it's a blast. you pay for the base game, but then it's free. no monthly sub. you can normally find good deals now for the base game.

not technically an MMO, but Path of Exile is a true f2p diablo clone that you can find groups to play with.

I'll have to get that one overnight. Seems like the downloader is a bit slow. I prefer to use the standalone ones so it doesn't tie the games to my Steam account. Stupid I know, but that's just the way I do things.

Damn I wanna try ESO now. I just looked at Final Fantasy 14, but then looked at the price for everything... sad face.
If you like fps games, I really did love Planetside 2. I liked the persistent battles and huge islands. Then again, I spent most of my time just flying around like an idiot.
Hmmm
SWToR is mostly free nowadays innit?
None to recommend, but avoid World of Tanks and Combat Arms. JMHO

it's awesome. they did a really nice job w/it. stuffed with tons of lore, encounters, etc and the game is just damn pretty. like i said, when it's on sale, it can be pretty cheap; right now on amazon the base game is 17USD. just keep your eyes peeled. holloween festival is going on too :)
Lord of the ring online is worth a look if you have anyone to play with... can be a bit borring on your own however

p.s, free with $ options but we play for the social more than the actual game
Guild Wars 2, for starters. Much of the cool stuff is in the paid-for expansion, but there's still a metric ton of content on the base, free game, and unlike most F2P MMOs (I'm looking at you, ArcheAge) both cheaters and farmers are actively dealt with, and the game is being constantly balanced. Do be aware, though: while nothing you can buy is better than the besst of random drops, cosmetics are expensive as all hell. Hence its fan nickname, "Fashion Wars 2".

ArcheAge isn't too bad either, free to play, with excellent graphics, a fun combat system and some really excellent music... but it's unashamedly P2W, and from what I saw in the forums a while back, the market for land seems to have been broken in half by bots, which kills some of its uniqueness. Still, from the batch of F2P MMOs I tried a while back (Rift, LOTRO, Tera, D&DO), it was the one I liked the most.

My friends are console exclusives, so there's no asking them to play it with me. Too busy stuck in Destiny and Call of Duty haha.
Like Bigs said above, SWToR is free ... as far as the storyline and single-player content goes.
It's worth playing through in my opinion: it has a great storyline, great music, good narrative, good voice-acting, and the gameplay was fun.

Pick one. lol
I'm not really into MMOs, but I enjoyed Star Trek Online. Free to play with an emphasis on singleplayer campaigns. Note that there IS a pay-towin mecanic when you want to play in a guild, or buy a better ship at the later levels, or simply get more inventory space, though. But the game can be played without.

It seems more difficult a task than I thought haha.
It comes down to 'if I pick this one; do I have time for this one?' lol.
