It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

eric5h5: So...I'm thinking we should not complain about the forums from now on. At least they're semi-usable now, can you imagine what they'd be like once GOG "improves" them?
No kidding...

(And thanks for the replies about Palemoon Oddeus and djoxyk, was just curious. Guess that has some newer elements than the FF 51 reported as unusable on another thread.)

johnnygoging: I don't really like the hover-videos either I'd personally prefer a screenshot that expands that you then click to turn into a video, with an x at the right or click outside of to close.
But the GOG marketers like the videos a lot. ;) Simple screenshots do not give them much information about their customers. The videos give them so much more information. At least from the users which do not block them. ;P

fronzelneekburm: And PLEASE bring back the option to display the catalogue as a list!
Oh, dear, I just noticed that, it's terrible and extremely user unfriendly now.

Form over function would be bad enough, but it's not even form over function since it doesn't even look good with all the duplicate images from versions, DLCs, etc...

Why would you do that?
The old list was efficient.

muntdefems: In two weeks' time you all won't even remember how did the old gamecards look like. :P
I hope to have forgotten how the new ones look like after two weeks of not visiting any of them.

Linko90: There's a fix in play that will hide your number of games owned if your privacy settings reflect it. E.g. if you have your settings on the most private, your number of games won't be reflected when leaving a review.

As said before, it's teething pains and we're constantly taking feedback and working towards improvements.
Because we haven't gone over and through with this before, eh?

I know it's fixed now, but still.

A dreaded thought every time GOG improves something.

V4V: Here's another one who dislikes the new design decidedly.

I don't want a smartphone/Windows 8 UI on a webpage that I view on my PC running Linux.
I don't want to scroll down for ages just to see the Discover Games list.
I want the On Sale button back on the Disover Games list.
I want the News section back on the main page.
I want the GOG Mixes back on the product pages.
I want the small video frame back instead of the new video wallpaper. (aka learn from YouTube)

And those are only the things I noticed in approx. 15 minutes on the new site.

Years ago, I went away from Humble for good since they made their website unbearable slow and cumbersome. Please don't repeat their mistake, GOG!
I vote +1 on everything you said.

They put a big BUY button that we take in our face, you keep scrolling everywhere, info is spit and a lot of stuff is missing: I can't really easily classify games by dates and most terrible thing: the gogmixes are missing while it was THE best thing of GOG;

GOG is starting to feel like Telltale at this point, a small site that got big that management doesn't know how to handle... a small, unprepared team unable to work out how to run a big, successful site and instead just flouders, loses employees and just keeps making the same dumb moves over and over...

Until it all implodes.

liquidBass: News at the bottom? How am I supposed to see what's new? After endless scrolling all the way to the bottom, through countless banners and images, which make no sense whatsoever?
This, the most important thing on the front page is at the bottom. Deep at the bottom. GOG should fire the person who designed that thing.

I don't like the new front page at all, but I understand there are people who like it, and it's just a matter of taste. But 'news' at the bottom is plain stupid.

That's what I thought too, designed for mobile devices...

So I've tried the new game cards on a 7" device yesterday. But what a surprise. The mobile page looks completely different. The page is quite compact and far less space is wasted. The mobile version actually isn't that bad, at least as long as you use your device in portrait mode. Only the load times are atrocious.

The sad story is that the pages you see on your PC are not the mobile pages, they are explicitly designed for the PC. I cannot imagine how you could roll out such a design. The only excuse for me would be that GOG cannot afford bigger monitors for their employees and nobody on GOG ever has seen the new design on a monitor larger than 12". :P

You just made me facepalm.

If you're up for feedback: I really like the edition checker that shows what you get. And the review system is great keep that above all else.

for Cons: The play button is distracting, maybe move it to a new location or set it to very transparent until mouse over?
The over all feel makes everything seem bigger, huge, like *POW* in your face! maybe a compact version switch? it looks huge on mobile too, phone and tablet size.
-- Shrink via the browser to 80-90% for an example of more condensed information. Maybe its because I'm in IT and like "all the information at once"

The only other this is GOG mixes, I can see the high potential for abuse maybe instead of remove them add a report icon in the top right. I can honestly say being here the past 9 years, the Mixes have helped me find games I never knew about. As an example I recently got in to VR, with out this mix gog.com/mix/virtual_reality I never would have know about half of these titles or tried them out. There are so many other stories where a mix and the users comments on it have changed my mind about a game. For what its worth, as an old timer on the platform, please reconsider keeping the GOG Mixes, we truly love them and enjoy using them to discover new games.

Thank you,

I just now had the misfortune of coming into contact with the redesigned site. One word: atrocious.
It is borderline unusable. This flashy "material design" hurts my eyes and makes browsing the page painful. Great job GOG! Let's change something great and perfectly usable with something "new". I am sure this was the idea of some overpaid upper management guy who "knows best"
Oh, just realized another thing: Didn't you use to be able to filter by OS version too? Quite an important thing, to know whether the game actually is compatible with yours...

what do you mean? gog had this option on store page and in galaxy, also you have it in your game library. option to filter by OS is not new

groundhog42: It feels like the pages have been designed for much higher resolutions than the ones I currently have (1440x900 and 1366x768). How do the pages appear to people with higher (or lower) resolutions?
I've tried it on my 4K TV. And what a surprise, with 4K resolution you get even more empty space. ;)

In addition to all the empty space between the items you only get a small vertical stripe with information in the middle of the screen and a lot of empty space at the left and the right of it. Only about a quarter of the screen is used. So with higher resolution it does not look better. Of course you can scale the page with the browser, but then it does not look different from what you see on a screen with lower resolution.
anyone complaining about using a website that doesn't have mobile version is irreverent since websites are not made for phones unless the company made one for phones in case it would auto switch to that which has a url with a M in near the front of the link after https telling you it's a mobile version

https://www.dickssportinggoods.com <pc webpage
https://m.dickssportinggoods.com/ <mobile

also from where i come i just watch twitch streams more since they give higher accurate review in some cases instead of just reviews mainly trolling or joking these days

as for video ya it could be paused at start but right now the twitch videos i assume people are talking about? only play when there live so that would be nice if there paused at start

gog just needs a mobile version for phones and tablets
