sunshinecorp: Omerta and Jack Keane are running jokes among GOGlodytes as games to avoid.
I know the story behind Jack Keane, it all took place during an Insomnia sale, but what about Omerta? Something about DLC that caused GOG-wide consternation, but otherwise an enjoyable game? I'm an older member, yet I still need to be educated on all things GOG!

Something about them not fixing a longstanding issue. GOG made a patch themselves.
Only question now is who the OP will pick as the answer.
Thanks for all the help everyone! Wish I could have marked more than one solution! Well I've picked up a few of the more recommended ones (Penumbra, Blood, and the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R.), and I'll try them soon! Thank you, everyone!
Hey, I dont know if anyone suggested it. But if you havent heard of or seen Stonekeep. It is a 1995 interplay classic that was far ahead of its time. It is possibly one of the best pure dungeon crawls i have ever played. Games today hold your hand, and secrets are kind of easy to find. Stonekeep on the otherhand, any wall can have a secret block hiding treasure it seems.

Some who have played this game say the same block on every wall is always the fake block, BUT!! I watched my dad show me a secret he found behind a block underneath a lamp which was the only one other than that same fake block I ever saw in those levels.

Stonekeep has no difficulty setting, and is a brutally difficult game. Saving often is essential. But i recommend it 100%. Its a 10/10 game for me, and is up there with the likes of any great classic rpg.
