I think the US should have a hard stare into the mirror and decide, once and for all, whether they want to be a country that holds people accountable for their hateful rhetoric, or a country where ""free speech" covers all, except yelling "fire!" in a crowded theatre".

That has recently changed. Those groups have been labeled as domestic terrorists, and much of their most extreme speech is no longer considered protected. One of the few things the government has done right in the last... LONG LONG time.

I play Just Cause 2 with Rico switched out with a stripper. Nothing about this is a slight against the protagonist, I just think it funny and in the spirit of nudism for this parachuting action hero to be a naked woman and nobody treats her different. The flag mod will let people recreate moments from the old Spiderman trilogy, if nothing else.

To humour your ridiculous point for a moment, if someone wanted the "flag mod" they could find it with google. The difference between that situation and this is your answer isn't something I particularly want. If it was posted here I would read it in order to respond to you, but it's not something I need or want.

No. THIS IS my argument. If you think that posting on some obscure site instead of a well-known forum is no big deal and anyone forced to do so isn't at a disadvantage in delivering information, you shouldn't have a problem with me posting an answer somewhere else. However, if you DO think that finding something posted on an obscure site is harder than something on a well-known forum (or mod catalog) - then you should admit that ban harms the mod creator and understand what those, who have to search for the mods god-knows-where, complain about.

Unless google would remove links to the mod from search. As of late the engine quite often omits "politically unwanted" results.

There is an obvious difference. You can download the mod from somewhere else if you know where it is (or if the page is indexed by a search engine).

What you're doing is like going into the garden an verbally talking to a tree in the middle of an discussion, then going back to the discussion and saying “guess what I told the tree”.

Again, you're comparing a mod - which is a thing people download because they want it - with a single reply in a discussion. Anyone can find a mod that they want by searching. Finding a single response from a discussion that is randomly somewhere else is a completely different (and nonsensical) situation.

I asked for the answer because you evaded the question but tried to carry on the discussion. If you had simply not responded at all I would have completely forgotten the discussion.

Go for the most charitable interpretation : The situation is similar to the mod's, and sensible (and the comparison makes sense) if LootHunter's answer is incompatible with GOG's CoC, though.

And as with the mod, if that's the case, it's neither a big loss nor a particularly interesting bject of curiosity.

I would compare it more to "leaving a conversation after getting asked something, walking into a forest, carving the response to that question in some tree, and then returning to the conversation, telling the questioner: "you can find my answer to your question in the forest!""
