astroclay: Lately I've been binge watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I loved the first three seasons since the show is absolutely bonkers. However, I'm kind of burnt out now that I started watching Diamond is Unbreakable. Everything is just so... meh.

Does it ever pick up and get good again?
DiU gets more interesting when Yoshikage Kira, the "main villain" enters the picture.
nvm

I have been watching RWBY, it's really good so far,
Just watch The Laughting Salesman on Crunchyroll.
It's a great show created by the creator of Doraemon... it's a really dark series, and I love it.
You should check out Mosuno and The Legend of Korra.

Monsuno and The Legend of Korra are amazing.

Highly recommending Darker than Black.
I recommend Aggressive Retsuko (2018).
This is brutal: Baki the Grappler new season. While I thought season 1 and 2 were too cheesy, the new Baki is pretty hardcore.
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho - Absolutely wonderful. Starts as your standard cute girls doing cute things but it's incredibly well done and likely to make you break a tear now and then. About a few girls who decide they want to go to Antarctica (I know, it sounds dumb... try it ayway!)

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryoukou - Another CGDCT anime, though relatively slow paced the way the characters are done absolutely makes up for it. About 2 girls surviving together in a post apocalyptic world.

(man this thread seems old...)

Boku no Hero Academia - Absolutely must watch this if you like Shounen, one of the best anime's to have come out in recent time. Great characters. About a world where people grow up having superhuman abilities and the hero culture that rose up with it.

No Game No Life Zero (Movie) - Damn. I think even if you don't like the series (No Game No Life) because of the ecchi comedy in that one you may still like this movie. It still retains a little of that but has a way, way more serious tone. Moving and touching. You'll probably get more out of it if you've watching the series but even without I'd say it's well worth watching.

Fomalhaut30: Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon: Sword Oratoria is coming in April.
Really not what I was expecting but definitely don't regret watching. Another similarly delicious ending epic/music wise.
Berserk, it's the only anime you need.

NuffCatnip: Berserk, it's the only anime you need.
Depends, the oldest one didn't age very well, the Golden-age-movies are good but only cover die beginning of guts story and the newest anime looks really bad (I don't blame the people who made it, the budget was very low for that one).
So while it's one of the best mangas I know, the anime is not something you really need.

If you are talking about the animation ageing badly it was always a low budget production. The story, music and style have aged just as well as the manga, partially because it stayed incredibly faithful to the mangas best story arc.

My top 5 series would be

Armored Trooper Votoms
Dragonball
SDF Macross
Planetes
Berserk

Just discovered JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the first season was pretty amazing, the second while not as good still held my attention.

Sacrilege! :P

I like the older series best - the Golden Age films abbreviate too much of the story. The newest series isn't as bad as many people say, but I miss pre-trauma Casca.

Impaler26: I recommend Aggressive Retsuko (2018).
Aggretsuko, I hope the sequel come to netflix.

Watching Violet Evergarden now, it's so beautiful.
