a reminder to all that if you haven't watched gurren lagann, you should

and (hersey I know) both sub AND dub are of good quality
I had just finished watching Future Diary with English voices and the bonus epilogue episode (in Japanese with English subtitles) and I surprisingly liked it. One part towards the end at first felt like BS like it was just thrown in but the scene in the very beginning of the series kind of made it make sense for me.
I once made same kinda post, I got so much good feedback.

Still, I would say ghost in the shell series. Anyway weekends are good times to have a nosebleeds in one piece which never ends

leon30: Just wondering - do you watch dubs?

Licurg: NEVER !

Sub :

Dub :

Some dubs are good, but I watch 99,9% subs.

Example of an anime I prefered a dub for. Though I appreciated the sub as well. I think the dub is on par with the sub.
However this is a rare case.
I recommend Gakkou Gurashi. That anime just started this season and there are only three episodes at the moment but they are pretty epic.

P.S.: The first episode might put you off since it looks like an anime geared towards girls but if you watch it until the end (and perhaps also the next two episodes) you'll see that the first impression of this anime is very misleading.

Just read a little about it, and it seems very good . Added to my list .
Finished Gosick. Mediocre, with poor writing and underdeveloped characters. And that ending.... Would not recommend.

Gonna watch Guilty Crown next .

Sometimes the dubs are better for manga movies like this one.

What's odd is it looks like the Japanese original which someone has overlaid the English soundtrack onto as it still has the Japanese writing in parts.

FrankyDG: I am watching Log Horizon atm, almost finished the 2nd season. before that, I've watched DanMachi. Both are very good recommandations if you like Sword Art Online

Gilozard: .hank//sign did what Sword Art Online is trying to do better and earlier. It's a much more nuanced take on immersion MMOs, if you're interested.
Thx! i will have a look on it after i've watched Accel World. I guess i've a in-game anime period now instead of my usual search for horror anime
The comic artist and his assistants

Licurg: Finished Voices of a Distant Star. Not sure what they were trying to do with that thing, but they failed... Gonna watch Jormungand next .
the anime's concept is more of a tribute to joe haldeman's the forever war,

if you havent already then check out other movies from the same director makoto shinkai,

place promised in our early days is a must, my fav of all time

Great! Just one thing: it's .hack//sign, not .hank. No idea how I missed that typo. :)

God Eater is pretty good, also Appleseed XIII (CGI movies of it are also awesome)
So Ra No Wo To was a massive disappointment. Expected feels, got corniness up the wazoo.

Gonna get my music fix from Nana now. It's petty solid so far as a very mature-oriented romcom/slice of life. I'm putting it secondary to Steins;Gate though, which has been incredibly awesome so far. The direction grabbed me immediately and I'm really roped into the interactions.
