Pheace: Pfff, this is probably in my top 3 series if not at the top. I love the characters, and the series is always moving forward. How is this a plain and routine series?
All that happened till then was running and cooking spider eggs. Also felt a lot like Naruto which got boring pretty fast even with OP hero.

Guess it depends if he's watching the new series or the old one as well. When I finally convinced my gf to watch the series I showed her the old one instead of the new one (except the last part of the series of course) and now she absolutely loves the series.

I thought the remake was done relatively well, but some parts that I thought were absolutely fantastic in the original felt 'eh' in the remake. But that could just be nostalgia of course.

Oh, I watched the remake because I heard that original strayed away from manga which in my experience with FMA and FMF:B showed that manga true adaptation was much better.

Probably true but both are 90% the same, I just preferred the music and ... atmosphere of the original more. The new one is not bad, but it just felt like it was lacking something.
Well I watch mostly dubs - the original voices sounds to me like overacting. Gundam Seed, 00, Zegapain, Soul Eater, Fate/ series and Kenichi all have excellent dubs imho, but they never tried to translate songs (afaik).

Not me. Besides, there isn't many new Spanish dubs nowadays.

Totally understand you, although I meant English dubs, because I know when it comes to anime the most dubbed language is English, followed by French and then Spanish.

I watch them for certain shows. FLCL and Cowboy Bebop had fantastic dubs, for example. It's probably around 70/30 between subs and dubs for me.

Finished Gargantia yesterday. I honestly don't see why people think that it was so underwhelming in the second half. It was pretty great the full way through and had a lot of pieces which I didn't expect. If you like stories about cultural clashes, I recommend.

Now watching Birdy the Mighty: Decode.

FrankyDG: I am watching Log Horizon atm, almost finished the 2nd season. before that, I've watched DanMachi. Both are very good recommandations if you like Sword Art Online
.hank//sign did what Sword Art Online is trying to do better and earlier. It's a much more nuanced take on immersion MMOs, if you're interested.
Just finished Jormungand . Mediocre anime with lots of fan-service and some decent action scenes, but not much else. Kinda like Black Lagoon, but with somewhat less idiotic characters .

Gonna watch Gosick next .
I recommend Freedom Project, a cup noodle commercial that lasts for 7 episodes and involves space travel. Only in Japan!
