VeTrack: That's her thermoptic suit. It's not painted on, mostly made out of silicon, and it allows her to ________.
Well I knew it would have to be something like that, but it's hard to tell she's wearing anything. Again, not complaining. :D
Daisuke Satō who created and wrote the Highschool of the Dead manga died on Wednesday (ischaemic heart disease), so that won't be back from hiatus.

Sigh~ Thanks for sharing the news. I know something was wrong behind the long hiatus, but this... Damn!

I've never read it before, but that is sad news nontheless... It's always a shame to lose a good creator.

Just don't watch its anime, it's overexaggerated and can leave a bad impression of the series if you don't know anything about the manga.

Uhh... too late, I've already seen some of the anime I think, but I'd still look at the manga.
Kemono Friends end seen.. Not going to spoil anything, just going to say 'It was good'. :-)

I finally managed to watch that Trigun movie Badlands Rumble. It was fun to watch and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Trigun and things related to "wild west sci-fi."

I am thinking of buying the Kindle version of the manga since it is supposed to be much different than the show after a certain point since the manga far outlasted the show.

With it being unfinished, I'm not even sure I'll recommend that. A pity, really. They already started the next arc and there were a couple of significant reveals. They even thought of doing another season of the anime initially... Unfinished works are so damn sad.
I just finished watching the last episode of Twin Star Exorcist. The show is decent overall and has a few interesting concepts tied into the lore. The manga is supposedly ongoing so it might be worth reading in the future since it probably has a different ending.
Well.... According to reviews, the new Ghost in the Shell movie is [url=https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ghost_in_the_shell_2017/]mediocre... I'm disappointed somewhat, though I guess I should get around to looking at the source material.

To me that's one of the more optimistic results. i simply can't see Hollywood doing anime well.
People have turned their eye to Netflix's Death Note.
Indie Wire - ‘Death Note’ Petition Boycotting Netflix Film Over Whitewashing Reaches 11,000 Supporters

Some nicer finds to balance things..
Anime Weekend Sale on steam.
Edit: Ok.. This was somewhat odd to see in steam, Ghost in the Shell Film Bundle.
Reviews do mock steam video player and other things so physical DVD/Blu-ray is better option.

And hunting funny april fools news tomorrow, waiting for you Squeenix, D3P, Nitroplus, etc. X-)

Yeah, what I've been hearing from those who've seen it is that visually, the film is great with all the special effects but it didn't deliver on exploring the deeper themes and concepts. Oh, and they have some sort of an explanation on why the characters are white.

I saw a preview of that some time ago and it was so weird seeing the western changes made to it. It might be nothing for someone who's watching it for the first time but for those who already knew the series, it's just hard not to find it strange.
Steam's definition of anime is very loose. Aragami and DMC are included in the sale but I don't really associate those with anime. If I'm not wrong, their anime episodes/films are also region locked?
Yeah, I doubt any whitewashing, if any, is the movie's problem. I doubt they can do it well anyway.

I'd honestly buy Anime from Steam really, even if it's just for Streaming, but I just can't afford that kind of stuff at the moment.

They have RWBY up for sale too. I would buy it, if I had the money. They're probably region locked, though I'm not sure which ones.

Yeah... There are a lot of things Hollywood can't do well.
