I thought you used magic for your manual sort order because for me it feels like that :)

It's a blessing, isn't it?! I actually just got around to updating AF and had been waiting to muss with my library order again until I did that, and so was just organizing the library a bit more.

It is wonderful.

I don't know if it's been said or if I may have even said it before, but what I'd like is an easier way to manually sort. This drag and drop method is slow and tedious (still a blessing!) And I know I've said this before (no reason in particular I'm repeating myself, I guess, it's just on the mind, and a new page, I suppose!) :

What would also help that and be wonderful would be to be able to set shelf length (I'd probably put mine to 10 or 11?)

Also if there was an easier way to edit the pasted export chain, or a quicker response time from the drag+drop?

When you click on the smalll arrow when you mouseover a game yuo have the option "move" which opens a window where you can just put in a number where you want the game in your library.

Oohhhhhh!!! Well, please excuse my expression, but, fuck yes!!! Thank you, that is extremely helpful! *phew*

adaliabooks: I might have an idea.... let me play around with it a bit and see where I get to. It might just be possible to build a look up table of last updated times based on the same Output from MaGog used in the 'Last Updated' thread and store, update and retrieve it from my website (therefore side stepping the HTTPS stuff) and then just use it to sort your library the same way I do the manual sort order...
That would be splendid, cheers!

The export function lists games according to the latest manual sort of one's library (used to be by IDs), so it's a lot more user-friendly to edit it.

Thanks, I am finding it pretty easy to just fling games around the shelves using the "move" tab now. Things already feel a lot more "right", even though they are farrrr from it. Ahhhhh! Again, so many thanks to adalia and everyone else who is helpful with it and has helped improve it! Wooo!

I think the tagline should be "Fixing GOG so they don't have to!" !
My library just achieved the status of:

most organized (to my liking) that it's been since GOG took away manual sort and optional spaces in the sorting!

wooweoooo!

time to get back to writing some stuff about stuff

To be honest... I'm still not entirely sure what fixed it. If you look back through the thread me, Hyper, mrkgnao, moonshine and a few others had a hell of a time getting it to work properly and eventually it just seemed to fix itself...
So quite possibly ;)

Speaking of manual sorting - now that the exported output is more user friendly, can I do this when rearranging games?

As far as I remember, yes. I'm fairly sure that's what the move function does now (so if you move something to spot 9 say, it actually makes it 9.1 or 8.9 or similar and then re assigns the sort order) so I think you could assign decimals to the manual export, reimport it and it should work..
I might need to pop a call to the normalise function after importing just to make it tidy (otherwise it may only fix the numbers when you move something else, which is trivial and cosmetic anyway but good to keep things right)

Cheers, will give it a whirl, and see how things go.

This is exactly how it works now. It won't normalize until you move something.

A new update is here!

coffeecup: snip
Among other things, I've implemented your suggestion for highlighting owned and wishlisted games (haven't got around to discounted yet) in the catalogue and other people's wishlists for easier viewing.

I've also added the option to remove / hide people from you chat contacts list. It automatically removes anyone you have blocked but also adds an option to the dropdown menu on each contact to remove that person from the list.
If they send you a new message they will be re-added to the list.
To stop hiding previously hidden contacts you have to manually edit the JSON object in the options but it's just a case of removing their name from the list.

And finally I've added a 'Chat Transcript' button into the chat options bar which creates a pop up with your entire chat history in it (because scrolling up and down the chat to find particular things can be a nightmare).
It's still a bit of a work in progress and needs some formatting and styling but serves it's purpose for now.

Enjoy, and let me know if you find any bugs or have any questions.

Nice feature. And it seems to work fine. I tried it with some quite huge chats and while it looked like my browser might crash it worked well with a bit of patience :D
And the formatting does not look bad, only thing that needs a different display is the time stamps. Since they look like this:

Good :)

Yeah, the timestamps are one of things I need to figure out how best to format. Javascript doesn't seem to have a convenient built in date formatter and I don't really want to add more dependencies... I just couldn't be bothered to finish working on it when I did it the other night so I've left it for another day :)

Glad you like it.
