You misrepresent my opinion, but not agreeing with someone, doesn't mean we can't have a civil debate.
You're entitled to your opinion, whether I agree or not, So am I.

On paid mods I have no problem, provided it's clear before the games sold to me.
Simple as that, true I would never play it, but I'll defend your right to do that.

As for the "Right". again my point was missed.

Possession of the files is what defines that as a "right".
Each modder has full control of their own files, yes individually it's what they want, nobody but that person has the ability to control those files.

Collectively these individual decisions, are combined, to define those rights for all modders.

I can do so and choose to do so, is a basic human "right" or "Abilty" or "Power" or any other word.
Ultimately though, we all make selfish decisions, simply by chooing which mods we will use.

Though creating and suppporting mods is communal endeavor, deciding which mods to use or not, is a individuals "right".

If that's purely selfish, that's their choice to make, for themselves.

It is so good if somebody stole your account and he is able to delete all of your games :P
I'd love this feature as i've already tried to get support to remove some unwanted games from my shelf but they never got around to it.

I don't like having a copy of Guacamelee Gold when I now have the STCE version or the old version of Ethan Carter, they set off my OCD over redundancy.

Also, it would give me great pleasure to wipe that POS Overclocked from my shelf forever.

Perhaps you should try again. For me they also never got around to remove the second copy of Ultima 4 (since I had the free one and then the unbundled one) but I wrote them again yesterday and now it is finally gone :D

tritone: This post reminds myself of "me", about 15 years ago. I ritually started getting rid of all the games I "thought" I would never play again, or maybe played them a bit, didn't finish them, and ended up tossing them out.

Rusty_Gunn: ACK, For me growing up po' I always treasured the few games I could afford. Still to me I can only understand getting rid off a game if it can go to someone else (Not something I can see happening here on GOG though). I'm happy to see all the 290 titles (about triple the PC games I was able to get from 1996-2013) shown

This wasn't intended as a dig to you (past or present) It's just I personally don't understand when play basically one playthrough & that's it.
Yeah, Rusty, totally agree... and I won't make that mistake again. I was also guilty of getting rid of an "original" game when its sequel came out. For example, got rid of F-19 when F-117a came out. Or Tomb Raider 1 when TR2 came out, etc. As I get older, the graphics and eye-candy mean less and less to me. TR1 and TR2 were totally different games with different puzzles, different locales, but at the time... I just figured I wouldn't need TR1 anymore... I've got TR2 now! Very foolish, and as I said, never gave a moment's thought to my future-self and how I might like to play both again someday.

I think it's also true simply looking at genres. I really relish those old FPS games because... they simply don't make them like that anymore. And I suspect the "kids" that like today's FPS will be in the same boat in another 20 years, when FPS games devolve to simply button-mashing-on-rails they'll all give their left eye for the "old" (current day) FPS games. So don't do it, kids! Especially if it's digital, don't throw it away... you just never know when Jack Keane 2 might just be the last-best-hope of future computer gaming!

And get off my lawn!
Well though I understand Keeping Games you bought, I delete Steam game, because I have the GOG version.
THE only GOG games I want to delete are ones I never wanted in the first place, constantly getting Update Notices for them is annoying.
Has Warsaw had an update every day for the last 10 or so days? I doubt it.

When I get given a duplicate, I give it away on here.
If it's not, I do look at the game, 9 I've no desire to play once, never mind replay.
Warsaw (Obviously)
Beneath a Steel Sky
Flight of the Amazon Queen
Lure of the Temptress
SimCity 2000 Special Edition
Stargunner
Teenagent
Treasure Adventure Game
Tyrian 2000

ALL free and unwanted, but I think all GOG users have these.

Not getting Updates for Platforms I don't use should be in my site options

Now too cut and paste that list to support

Do you seriously think that couldn't easily be reversed, but I'd like to see anyone try to steal my accont details from me.
They won't find my PC so easily and my Network is secure and behind a VPN

Even if that unlikely event occurred, I have all my GOG installers, so I'd still have the games.
I've no doubt GOG could easily recover your account details.
Steam? to be honest, that's no great loss. BUT again not irreversable.

Konrad: If hiding a game doesn't do it for you, get in touch with our support team with a list of the games you'd like to remove. If it's just freebies, they should be able to take care of it right away.

If they're games you paid for, you'll have to confirm that you are in fact aware that once they're gone, they're gone for good. ;) A formality, just in case.

Either way, that should be what you're looking for.
Cheers support request sent. I'll see how it goes.
Some said Requests were ignored first time, but as these are free games I think all GOG users get, it may get a result quicker.

Now I need another 112 Steam games on GOG, before I can delete Steam forever.

XCOM EW and XCOM 2 are now my most wanted.
All games with modding communities, in fact.

I can't believe you'd want to permanently remove a game. that's just alien to me.

Wow, that is a VERY good argument I hadn't thought about! Somebody hijacks your account, maybe "guessing" your password, and now you want him to be able to DELETE all the games from your account?

For that, I think "ignoring" is a better option.

johnnygoging: I can't believe you'd want to permanently remove a game. that's just alien to me.
Not somethiong I would generally do, but I'm sick of getting update notices for these games, hiding doesn't help and they are games I never wanted to begin with.
I don'tr think I can give them away on here, after downloading to my PC, as I have done with duplicates I've been given.
I also think we all have these, anyway. so it's not something I'll do very often if at all.

Steam is different, I want to delete Steam itself more than the games, but can't keep the ones I own if I do that.
So I will delete those games one by one, but only when I own the GOG version. I don't consider that deleting the game, it's deleting Steam, I have the game on GOG.

I don't think that's even an issue, on either client.
Steam is automatic, so has automatic recovery as well.

GOG uses proper support, so you have to give good reasons why, I doubt a full account wipe would be allowed.
Also because ii's a manual system, it can be reversed manually as well if required.

Honestly using concerns about crime, as an excuse not to provide paying customers with a service, is a feeble excuse.
If crime is possible, you make it impossible or reversable and still give the service to customers.

This would have a much better solution in converting unwanted not-downloaded-yet games from your gog library into gog gift-codes.
So please vot for this on this feature wishlist:
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/lets_us_gift_away_games_from_our_library_that_we_havent_downloaded_yet

Hi, is this possibility still available? Because I did as you said and somebody from support answered me that they are not able to delete game from my library. I would like to know if it's true or they just don't want to lose time with my request. I would like to get rid of some games in my library so I hope it's still possible and it just depend on person who is reading my request.
I have doubles due it odd issues and such, since i use the API and download via scripts to update and backup my collection I truly want to remove games i dont need/want..

2 versions of The Witcher 3 for example... they eat tons of data Id rather save for other games coming. I love the witcher 3 i just dont need both versions ^_^
