I agree that the wooden library was more enjoyable than the current one but it's not that much of an issue to me.

Losing all PM history was a bummer too. I want them back.

And please, add an option to see all games in one page. Seamless scrolling > clicking multiple times.

I think the same. I miss the manual sorted shelf. I have a lot of work to build my own concept and in this work the "sorted by titles/purchase date" doesn't matter... For example: Vangers->Perimeter is logically brothers, but if I see just the titles....Hm. Or I sorted a lot of games by release dates within the same publisher or sorted under greater units (e.g.: Dungeons&Dragons). Please! Give back our "good old" shelves!

I'm sure it's not the last change either. From a technical and business point of view, it makes more sense to homogenize features instead of keeping two distinct functionalities. As the store continues to grow it's library, it's going to get new users and those new users want some of these new features, there is no way around it.

True the old "my account" had many issues...

But the new one aint better but in different ways.
When i saw the mess of "my library" on gog galaxy, i remember praying "please, avoid this display to spread upon the website library"... should have sacrificed some live newborn to help as offering cause my prayers went unheard

the langage selector does not work for some games (some i sure already had downloaded in one given langage, for example, now it seems the game does not exist in same langage)

this rampaging habit ot unbundling each and every dlcs or sub games from its mother game... (for exemple the heroes chronicles that spreads over in 8 distinct entries...)

still no sub folder or sub categories in manual sorting (dont talk me about "tags", will ya... so far, either i didnt figure out the way "tags" were meant to work and be used, and as such they are useless to me... or i do use them correctly, and they are still unhelpful anyway...)

i could list many other issues... many that were plaging the old library display and still are here, other that appeared with the new design, many clever suggestions still never brought up at the occasion of the new design...

jesus, what is this "gog new experience" that you are trying to force upon me ? you want to be as unfriendly, headache giving, uneasy and messy as Steam is, just for the sake of competing ?

if i wanted steam mess, i would have move to steam, drmwise or not...

there are enough web technologies ready to use to insert in the website engine to manage to offer a CHOICE to people, a choice to set up and customize their own "my account" display.

so far, it is not "my account", it is "gog's messy we thought it was best for you please avoid thinking" account. the "my" in "my account" is mostly rethorical here.

or was it the condition for editors to bring AAA major games without DRM on gog store such as the indeed cool bundle of new arrival i saw today ? Like "hey, psssttt, we consent to let you sell our game drm free, but you have to make your customer's account design a real mess using nowadays's standards of "design madness" ??

I didn't read so whole thread so maybe this has been answered before... Why did you remove the "gifts" tab? What if someone doesn't have the e-mails with the gift codes anymore? Does that mean he's SOL or will the gifts tab be added again?

As I stated a little earlier, I know you want to be competitive and have a new and fresh way of doing things but that isn't accomplished by copying the competition. You need new ideas like making a port on Roku for people to stream their movies and maybe even play games on their tvs.
When you have new ideas you are the leader, when you copy you are just a follower.
When I see GOG as a business taking the direction they are going in now I can only wonder how long it will be before they introduce a form of DRM that they will claim isn't what it seems and is innocent.

Well sofar I like the GOG Galaxy Client quite a bit. There still seem to be some bugs to work out (I tried several time to install Mount and Blade Warband but got a broken installation every time) but than again that is why it is called a Beta so such things are bound to happen. Now on topic of the new My Account. while I like the overall new look of GOG I do not like the new shelf at all. My main gripe really are that I cannnot sort them manually anymore and maybe even more important no more full on boxcovers. I know this might sound very superficial or not logical at all but seeing all those box covers sometimes made me feel way more like owning the games that anything else. Espcially as someone that actually still owns quite a lot of boxex from the old old days (hell many of the early Ultima titles still have a place on my shelf) and just bought the game on here so I can play them without having to fiddle with them myself in dosbox or other emulators. So my suggestion is the same as many others already have stated. Since your buzzword seems to be choice why not put in the old shelf as a chooseable option for those that like it.

Edit: Oh and as far as the movie streaming option goes I never used it to be honest but I can see why some people would prefer having and gotten used to it.

Look at "Orders & Settings", drop down the filters list under "Orders History". Redeemed Gifts + Unredeemed Gifts filters are what you want to leave checked.

Definitely not as handy as before.

"Store Credit used" ?? I missed this.

They're under the order history now. You have to filter them to only show you gift orders.

Well, I was more into the other "new my account" thread, so I'm sorry if this has been mentioned time and time again.

I would just like to make it known that I am quite displeased with the "chat" replacing PM (not to mention the disapperance of PM written in the past, but I guess you are working on that).

Most annoying thing: enter=send, a feature that I have always disliked, and I would very much like an option to turn this off.

Second annoying thing: the chat window (where you can see what you have written) is practically miniscule, showing about two lines of writing. Since I am very much into writing lengthy messages, often editing and rewriting as I go, this is really inconvenient to me. If this is the version I am stuck with, I will have to resort to writing in text editor and copy-paste.

Also, the online/offline thing does not seem to work as intended, showing users to be online when they clearly are not (as confirmed by checking in the forum itself).

Any improvement on this would be greatly appreciated (by me, anyway).

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't checked all the new stuff yet and this is indeed not as handy as the old gifts tab. I'm just glad that our gift codes aren't lost. :D
