Exhodos: For people who want Mass Effect, it will be useless because the third will never be released outside Origin.
Technical reasons (like ingame microtransactions that are needed to play the game further; didn't Dead Space 3 have something like this?), or merely a "they haven't released it outside Origin before, hence it is not probable to appear on GOG either" (unless they change their mind about Origin-exclusivity)?

timppu: Technical reasons
There IS a completely senseless "optional" multiplayer in there, that could count as one.
http://www.dwarves-game.com/ of course!

IMO.

You can't watch A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back without seeing The Return of the Jedi after that, whatever the quality of the film is.
Actually Star Wars works well enough as a standalone movie, which is pretty much what it was way back when. Keep in mind, it wasn't even an "Episode IV" back then.

The first Mass Effect may not be quite as standalone, but I think it's still perfectly worth playing on it's own. Actually, I'd probably recommend only playing the first one, before the series went full "shooter/dating sim OMG WTF Starchild!"

advancedhero: We have Dragon Age: Origins, right? I've only heard bad things about the sequel :o
But man, I really want to try out Mass Effect!
avatar
Vainamoinen: I don't think there are many monsters in Mass Effect sporting the kind of claw GOG showed on their twitter.

How many AAA games with dragons or griffins are there...? Dozens or hundreds...?
Haha hey go easy on me!!! I was going off of what GetComposted said, I don't know anything!

tburger: It never stops to amaze me how people on the other side of ocean write dates :-P
avatar
timppu: Well, I kinda get it. They just want to be different from rest of the world like a special snowflake, hence those dates, Fahrenheits, inches and such. A bit like North Korea came up with its own timezone between other timezones and their very own calendar, the Juche Calendar.

But at least it is not as bad as in Australia, where the clock actually goes counterclockwise. Something to do with how their side of the globe rotates to the opposite direction as the rest of the world. Also their seasons are all messed up, summer in January etc. "I'm dreaming of a brown Christmas...", yeah right.
damn skippy ;)

Gearmos: GOG is following the international ISO 8601 standard: the year-month-day order.

By the way, here you have an interesting overview of date formats by country: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format_by_country
I like how Canada is like, "eh fuck it, let's just confuse everyone and use all of them".

I somehow always enjoyed the first Star Wars better as a standalone movie and never understood why Empire always gets praised as the best in the trilogy. The first third is pointless mucking about in a boring ice desert, then we're treated to the embarassing Han/Leia love story (including some fine examples of Harrison Ford's "Ugh, I hate this sci-fi shit and I'm only in it for the paycheck" brand of acting). The part in the sky city was pretty cool, except for the "I am your father" twist which retcons the original film's fairy tale charm of some random farmer boy defeating the personification of evil.

The less said about "Star Wars 3 - Teddy Bears in Space", the better. It did have some nice special effects.
It seems the obligatory solution is missing... Oblivion :)

You look different, have you done something with your hair?
Can't wait for the sales!

OT, but I think the same (even if I still probably enjoyed those movies more than you)
Well when you type Neverwinter Nights 3 in to Google the top result is Sword Coast Legends, so maybe that's it.

I'm hoping that GOG, in an effort to stymie the great detectives in the forums are hinting obliquely. I.e. Claw + dragon = Neverwinter Nights = Bioware = Bioware games lineup = Mass Effect (at least 1+2) & the rest of Dragon Age.

I will raise the ante and... Release! The! Kittehz!

Kitteh1
Kitteh2
Kitteh3
Bonus Kitteh

Make it so, GOG.

You can't even buy complete editions of Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 on Origin, and in order to buy the DLCs (that cost more than the base game and are never discounted) you have to deal with that silly "Bioware Points" system. And according to an acquaintance who works at EA, they have no plans on changing anything about either of that, not even in their own shop. So don't hold your breath for a GOG release. :/
