Maighstir: As do the OP, he's hyped for the 2016'th day of the first month, in the 12'th year. Now, which planet this would be on, and what recent event was big enough to start counting years from 0 (human's arrival, perhaps?), I don't know.
If one month has 2016 days (or more), it doesn't have to be a recent event to start from year 0. If their year has 12 months, each 2016 days long, their year has 24.192 days. That's more than 66 earth-years. 11 years and 2016 days would be 734 years and 218 days on earth. Even if their years ony have two months, it's 127 earth-years already (which could qualify as "recent event").

edit: assuming we're talking about a 24 hours day.

timppu: 12th of January 2016? It is distant history already, no need to hype anything about it. Nothing that marvellous happened back then.

tburger: It never stops to amaze me how people on the other side of ocean write dates :-P
Hey, not on the other side of the ocean. That's only USA (don't know Canada). América (the continent) writes Day-Month-Year, the most logical way.
So what's everyone planning on doing on 2016.26.12?

The same thing I do every day, nothing.

tburger: Of course this T-shirt is manufactured by a company with high ethical, social and enviromental standards ;-/
Definitely not! I find it highly unethical, antisocial and anti-environmental that they sell me a T-shirt I have to rebuy in two years or so!

What the heck is wrong with those Cambodian kids who made it? Someone should give them a good whipping for lousy workmanship.

(Just joking, the T-shirts are probably made in Vietnam. Or if they are made by some automated robots, they should be whipped instead.)

The important question here is - will Ritsuko The Ninja Squirrel be back for this sale? I for one dearly hope so.
The good thing is Civilization 3, 4 and Rome have been released today so tomorrow we'll have something else.

Or it's been confirmed it's just the winter sale?

Mass Effect, please be Mass Effect.

Or Dragon Age.

We have Dragon Age: Origins, right? I've only heard bad things about the sequel :o
But man, I really want to try out Mass Effect!
I don't get it... What happend in the 12th of January of this year? Seemed like an ordinary day, as I can recall.

I don't think there are many monsters in Mass Effect sporting the kind of claw GOG showed on their twitter.

How many AAA games with dragons or griffins are there...? Dozens or hundreds...?

As already mentioned in the other thread, the image is a crop from a Neverwinter Nights wallpaper.

I can't imagine that GOG would have three big releases today only to immediately draw attention away from them with more big releases tomorrow. My guess is that tomorrow is the start of the winter sale, and one of the first bundles will include Neverwinter Nights.
For people who want Mass Effect, it will be useless because the third will never be released outside Origin. And playing only 2 games of a trilogy is pointless.
IMO.

You can't watch A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back without seeing The Return of the Jedi after that, whatever the quality of the film is.
