I notice that there is now a post about releasing to 1.0 on Steam, but this store has not received such news. That suggests to me that GoG is a second class release that won't get full attention, since it isn't getting it right now.

This post is from over a week ago, and hasn't been mirrored here. I implore Polymorph to offer Steam keys to their GoG customers. It costs you nothing to create these keys and Valve is happy to accomondate cases like this.

It's hard to have confidence in the GoG release when the only news about 1.0 is on Steam. It would be a shame to see any kind of delays or lack of support for another store platform. It wouldn't bode well for future support from Polymorph and inform my purchasing decisions and recomendations further.

I've been anticipating this 1.0 release so that I could dive into the game without fatigue, but the announcement blind sided me. Since it came through a platform that apparantly is more of a priority than the one I purchased it on. I do not like when Early Access projects do these kind of shenanigans.
The full release is scheduled for 1/31/25, at least on Steam. As for GOG, HOPEFULLY before the end of 2025. There is an ostensible "demo" of the new version on Steam, not here, of course. Don't even bother with the joke of a demo. You run out of a critical resource so early, and are thus dead-ended in any real progression, that it amounts to a come-on for the full version sooner(very) than later. A very cynical approach to hyping sales. Totally consistent with the reality of Steam.
