All versions of FEAR released to date have compatibility issue with Logitech devices on modern OS's. The only fix I know of is (on Windows 7 x64, at least) is to go into the Device Manager and manually disable all HID-compliant devices before starting the game. I then have to manually re-enable all of them once I'm done.

I would really appreciate if someone at Gog could look into this issue as it's quite annoying having to do it every time I play the game!

EDIT: Methanhydrat has created a fix which makes things a whole lot simpler. Thanks very much!

I've just played the GOG version and it ran perfectly. Maybe this was fixed?

Usually it runs fine at first, but then performance begins to drop after 10 minutes or so. Not sure how it affects other machines, but it's certainly a well known problem.
'Condemned: Criminal Origins' also has this problem, running on the same engine as it does. I've not yet downloaded 'F.E.A.R.' so can't confirm one way or another, but it'd be too bad if this issue hadn't been officially fixed. Edit: I recall it's more of a Logitech (G-Series?) keyboard and/or mouse issue, so not everybody might experience it regardless. I'm still using my old G5 mouse, however.

Wasn'it a problem with logitech hardware only?
I have no idea what you're talking about... Never had any problems with this game.
I had some performance issues way back, because my PC wasn't strong enough to run it. Perhaps that's your reason as well.

Speaking about Condemned: Criminal Origins; I hope it comes here as well. I see no reason why it shouldn't since we got F.E.A.R.

Yes from what I remember it is strictly a logitech problem. So Seraph87 my guess is you are using a different kind of mouse and keyboard :-)

That's weird, I'm using a Dell keyboard but a Logitech mouse. I've played the game at least one or two hours by now and there haven't been any issues, either this problem has been fixed or it only occurs on specific configurations.

Come to think of it it might be to do with some gamer-specific mice and keyboards. G-series and stuff like that. I remember I had a set of wireless mouse and keyboard for my old laptop and that did have the same problem and that wasn't G-series...
I apoligise for vagueness, I'm going purely off memory, it was only logitech mice that did it.
Something to do with polling rates I think and the G Series gaming software ( configuration )
I believe uninstalling the software also fixes it but then you cant change the pretty leds :-).
Monolith/Warners said they cant fix it so...yeah.
Ah, that's probably it then. I've played the game on 3 different machines and always suffered the same issue, but I always had a logitech mouse. Will try playing around with the DPI settings and see if that fixes it. Thanks!
I'm playing with a logitech MX518 and haven't experienced any issues with this copy or my old retail copy. I don't run any of their software though so i'd assume it's an issue with that rather than the mice themselves.

Can't, or won't?
I use an Logitech G5 without aditional Software but my FPS are limited to 30.
OS is win 7 64 bit.

I'm playing on Windows 8.1 with GTX660 and a Logitech G400 with software loaded.

Had the slow-down issues. You can play for a while but then it would suddenly start to slow down. Disabling the input devices works, but also stops the calculator and volume buttons on the keyboard to work.

I haven't tried removing the Logitech software yet though.
