Is Fallout 1 and 2 still censored on GoG?

sciroccodone: Fallout Fixt is also outdated. I prefer "Fallout et tu", see:

Fallout et tu is something entirely different to Fallout Fixt.
It's wrong to consider it "more up to date", even though it's more recent.

et tu is the Fallout 1 game using the Fallout 2 engine.
From the project page:
Replicates Fallout 1 in 2 almost 1:1.
Note that word "almost".

For some, they'd prefer the v2 engine, and don't mind the slight differences.
For others, they'd prefer the more "authentic" experience of the original engine with bug fixes.
For those who don't care, either option should suffice.

Hopefully this explanation will help people make a better-informed decision.
Fallout 1 is an awesome game by itself and it remains that way to this day. But after replying it so many times, Fallout 1 in 2 is a must for me. I consider it more of a QoL update. :)

Replaying games is like re-reading a book sometimes. After going over it so many times, you know what to expect and even have many parts it it memorized. So it's natural to want to skip the boring or more tedious parts of it.

So, sometimes mods, especially fixes/QoL types refresh the game and make the boring/tedious parts a bit more enjoyable again. It's not essential, but I highly recommend it to replays.

It's just a matter of engine choice I think. FO2 for me is just an improved version of FO1. If FO1 ever got remastered, it'd be FO2. (Though for goodness sake Bethesda, please don't ever remaster it. Something is bound to break lol)

For 1st time play, skip mods, unless you have no plans to ever replay again, then it's a matter of choice.
