Thought I'd just post after being stuck on the tutorial for ages. In the tutorial there is a bit where you have to dodge a car by pressing certain keys in time (known as a Quick Time Event or QTE). If you're like me you'll miss that when it talks about "PAR" and key assignments that you don't just have to press one key but two simultaneously. I failed many many times to perform the dodge. This was because I was confused by the instructions thinking that you only had to press left arrow *or* num 4, when in fact you need to press left arrow *and* num 4. Or you hold left mouse button and move the mouse left and hit num 4 at the same time.
On a laptop you may not have access to a number pad - it's probably behind a function key - so you'll need to go to the options and configure your controls to give you an alternate set of keys to use for for the second "PAR" as they are mapped by default to the number pad.
Hope that helps.
